Buku ini menyajikan temuan-temuan penting yang dapat menjadi bahan renungan bagi desa yang ada untuk dapat menggali potensi desanya sehingga keadaan desa tersebut dapat lebih meningkat. Program Dana Desa merupakan inisiatif pemerintah yang bertujuan untuk memberikan bantuan stimulan dalam upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat di wilayah pedesaan. Melalui dana ini, diharapkan dapat merangsang pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat dengan mendukung berbagai program dan kegiatan yang didanai oleh Dana Desa. Tujuan utama dari alokasi Dana Desa adalah untuk mengurangi tingkat kemiskinan di masyarakat desa dengan mengedepankan konsep pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat. Namun, terdapat fenomena menarik di mana meskipun alokasi dana Dana Desa semakin meningkat dari waktu ke waktu, permasalahan kemiskinan di wilayah desa masih belum teratasi secara memadai hingga saat ini. Hal ini menjadi sebuah tantangan yang perlu diungkap dan dianalisis lebih lanjut, mengingat alokasi dana yang cukup besar seharusnya dapat memberikan dampak positif yang lebih besar pula dalam mengatasi masalah kemiskinan di masyarakat desa. This book studies the interfaces of ethics, economics, and politics. Public policy issues involve all three of these subjects. Although it may be seen as suggesting the nucleus of a joint university course, the book is accessible to and should interest all those concerned with political decisions. Underlying any coherent public policy there must be a relevant moral code.
