Em novembro de 2016, o Núcleo de Audiovisual e Documentário do CPDOC organizou o Seminário Internacional de Documentário de Arquivo - Arquivos em Movimento. O encontro promoveu o debate e a reflexão em torno dos distintos modos de incorporação de imagens preexistentes no campo da produção audiovisual de caráter documental. Esta publicación pretende recopilar en un solo volumen, 9 documentos raros(fuentes primarias impresas) de difícil acceso y ayudar a promover el estudio histórico en este campo. Entendemos que la historia económica de Puerto Rico en el siglo XIX no ha sido estudiada lo suficiente por los historiadores.
