Codrignani ci presenta alcune riflessioni interessanti sul dibattito relativo alle problematiche legali e alle lacune legislative nel codice civile per quanto riguarda le molestie sessuali, collocando la questione delle molestie nella luce del ruolo dell abuso di potere del più forte verso il più debole. Il molestatore è quindi una persone che detiene un potere di competenza nel settore occupazionale o accademico, e la molestia risulta essere un abuso di potere sia socioculturale che organizzativo. Principale importanza è data alle molestie sessuali che subiscono le donne sul luogo di lavoro, e alla necessità di "legittimare le offese, al fine di delegittimare la condizione di vittime". Nelle condizioni attuali di assenza di una normativa di legge specifica nell ambito dei diritti di genere, l autrice mostra come si incominci a delineare una giurisprudenza di fatto, esistendo strumenti che rendono possibili sia le condanne che i risarcimenti. Evidenzia comunque la prevenzione quale intervento più efficace alfine di rovesciare stereotipi e ruoli radicati nella popolazione. Il volume contiene anche alcuni documenti europei relativi a risoluzioni e raccomandazioni sul problema delle molestie sessuali nel mondo del lavoro. Katja Delang (April 1997).
