Der Ausbau der Betreuungsplätze und die höheren Anforderungen stehen nun einem drohenden Mangel an Fachkräften und häufig unzufriedenen sowie überstrapazierten Erzieherinnen gegenüber. Die Attraktivität des Berufsfeldes muss dringend verbessert werden. Doch was kann getan werden? Wie gewinnt und hält man die qualifizierten Fachkräfte? Die vorliegende Arbeit zeigt durch einen Vergleich dreier Studien auf, was für die heutige Generation von Erzieherinnen von Bedeutung ist und wo die Schwerpunkte der Unzufriedenheit liegen. Die Zwei-Faktoren-Theorie des Motivationsforschers Frederick Herzberg dient hierbei als Untersuchungsgrundlage.
