Los planteamientos que ofrece suponen interesantes aperturas conceptuales en el seno de las ciencias sociales, así como herramientas que pueden ser usadas para impulsar cambios sociales en relación a la discriminación de las mujeres en el mundo laboral y en el ámbito doméstico. BREVE CURRICULUM Pilar Rodríguez Martínez es profesora de Sociología en la Universidad de Almería. Sus trabajos de investigación, que comenzaron en 1996, han girado en torno a las relaciones entre hombres y mujeres, centrándose específicamente en los aspectos relacionados con las mujeres migrantes. Entre sus publicaciones destacan Migrantes y trabajadoras del sexo (Del Blanco, 2004) y, como editora, Feminismos periféricos Alhulia, 2006).
