Die Marktforschung stellt für marktorientierte Unternehmen die wichtigste Quelle der Informationsbeschaffung dar. Bei zunehmendem nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerb ist Art, Umfang, Qualität und Aktualitätsgrad der Marktinformationen ein entscheidender Wettbewerbsfaktor. Neuartige Informations-und Kommunikationstechnologie beeinflussen die Marktforschung stark. Sie helfen, die traditionellen Marktforschungsmethoden zu verbessern und bieten neue Möglichkeiten. Multimedia ist eine dieser neuen Technologien der 90er Jahre. Es verbindet verschiedene Informationsträger unter einer gemeinsamen Oberfläche. Die Informationen liegen digital vor und können dadurch vielseitig bearbeitet und verbreitet werden. Ziel dieser Ausarbeitung ist es die Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Multimedia in der Marktforschung aufzuzeigen. Neue Ideen sollen vorgestellt und angedacht werden. Der Aufbau der Arbeit orientiert sich an dem Ablauf einer Marktforschungsstudie. Diese beginnt mit der Vorarbeit in der Entwurfsphase. Die Informationsbeschaffung erfolgt im Bereich der Datenerhebung mit den drei klassischen Methoden Befragung, Beobachtung und Experiment. Den Abschluß der Studie bildet die Präsentation der Ergebnisse. Zwei Hauptschwerpunkte bilden die multimediagestützten Befragungsformen und die virtuellen Testmärkte. Ein Leitgedanken war es, ein möglichst praxisnahes Bild aufzuzeigen und wenn vorhanden, tatsächliche Anwendungen zu beschreiben. [...]
