Damit entstammen sie einer Zeit und einem Raum von beachtlicher religiöser und literarischer Lebendigkeit. Alle Dialoge werden auf Basis der gesamten bisher bekannten Überlieferung ediert, wobei jeweils eigene Konzepte entwickelt werden, wie die mittelalterlichen Texte für den Leser gewinnbringend geordnet und dargestellt werden können. Die Texte zeigen eine breite Vielfalt von Themen und existentiellen Fragen, die in Anlehnung an eckhartische Theologie in Dialogform dargeboten werden: Dabei hat stets ein Laie die Rolle des Lehrers, dem ein hochrangiger Geistlicher oft nur staunend und zustimmend zuhören kann.
