Alle Hilfsorganisationen sind daher mehr denn je aufgefordert, ”konomisch zu handeln. Hierzu z„hlt das effektive und effiziente Wirtschaften mit den zur Verfgung stehenden monet„ren Mitteln. Das hierbei festgestellte organisationsinterne, aber auch -externe Problem ist das Nichterkennen einer Unternehmensstrategie. H„ufig besteht auf oberster Unternehmensebene keine Klarheit ber Vision und strategische Ziele. Zudem fehlt oftmals die Verbindung zwischen strategischen Zielen und Zielen einzelner Gesch„ftsbereiche oder Niederlassungen. Currently the notion of "sustainability" is used in an inflationary manner.
