Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich Verkehrswissenschaft, Note: 1.0, Technische Universität Wien (Forschungsbereich für Verkehrssystemplanung), Veranstaltung: Diplomseminar, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, wie bestehende Trends in urbaner Mobilität die Zukunft bestimmen könnten und, ob im Zuge dessen ein allgemeines Umdenken bzw. ein Paradigmenwechsel, angeführt durch die mögliche Etablierung der Vorreiter-Idee „Mobility as a Service“, bevorsteht. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die sich durch globale Trends im Wandel befindenden Parameter zu analysieren und das Potential zu definieren, welches „Disruptionsideen“, wie dem Mobilitätsvorreiter „Mobility as a Service“, zugeschrieben wird, eine Mobilitätswende von historischem Ausmaß nach Definition des „Mobilities Turn“ einzuleiten. Ausgelöst durch jene Treiber wird in dieser Arbeit das „Disruptionspotential“, sowie die derzeitige Marktreife von „Mobility as a Service“ anhand der veränderten Rahmenbedingungen bewertet. Im Abgleich mit der Auswertung von „Good-Practise“-Charakteristika von bereits im Ansatz oder in Vollausbaustufe bestehenden Services werden in weiterer Folge Anforderungen für eine potentiell erfolgreiche Implementierung des Service abgeleitet. Der individuelle Ansatz dieser Arbeit ist die Annahme, dass die bevorstehende Mobilitätswende nicht, wie in historischen Beispielen bisher, eine neue Dimension von Geschwindigkeit der Mobilität mit sich bringt, sondern, dass Ressourcenschonung, Benutzerfreundlichkeit und der digitale Zugang im Vordergrund stehen. Folglich lautet die These dieser Arbeit: Aktuelle Trends in der Personenmobilität suggerieren, dass „Mobility as a Service“ die Basis von zukunftsfähigen Lösungen für Transportsysteme im urbanen Bereich bildet und dadurch eine Mobilitätswende (einen Paradigmenwechsel) verursachen könnte. Die Forschungsfrage lautet: Welches Potential hat „Mobility as a Service“, getrieben durch neue Mobilitätstrends, die bestehende Organisation von urbaner Personenmobilität abzulösen und eine Mobilitätswende (einen Paradigmenwechsel) auszulösen?

The motor vehicle technology covered in this book has become in the more than 125 years of its history in many aspects an extremely complex and, in many areas of engineering science . Motor vehicles must remain functional under harsh environmental conditions and extreme continuous loads and must also be reliably brought into a safe state even in the event of a failure by a few trained operators. The automobile is at the same time a mass product, which must be produced in millions of pieces and at extremely low cost. In addition to the fundamentals of current vehicle systems, the book also provides an overview of future developments such as, for example, in the areas of electromobility, alternative drives and driver assistance systems. The basis for the book is a series of lectures on automotive engineering, which has been offered by the first-named author at the University of Duisburg-Essen for many years. Jens Kopp analyzes the potential of car sharing as a new mobility solution in light of progressive urbanization and researches factors influencing the use of car sharing to assess the growth outlook of car sharing services. He performs a regression analysis to identify statistically significant factors influencing the use and evaluation of car sharing services based on an empirical field research conducted in Germany (n=175). Key findings include that cost saving is the only researched factor relevant to influence the use of car sharing services as well as the evaluation of car sharing and the assessment of its future. The existing research shows that car sharing is a viable lever to address substantial ecological and economic mobility issues and the conducted research provides new insights into the factors influencing the use and evaluation of car sharing services.
