No Room for Grace addresses a world dominated by free market capitalism, a world where persons become "human resources," the raw materials for competitive production and profitable investment. Barbara Rumscheidt considers how Christians are to do pastoral theology in such a world and explores the potential for Christian faith responses that can resist the dehumanizing dynamics of the global economy.

Faith, its a word that describes a belief in something that you cant truly know exists. Faith is someone standing in front of a closet telling you that there is gold inside and that you will get that gold at some point if you can just trust that it is there. Whats to stop you from looking in the closet? So many people believe that there is gold in the closet, so maybe you should too. The feeling of the possibility of getting the gold is so intense, it is just enough to make it so you dont try and peek inside the closet. The funny thing about faith is that without numbers, it wouldnt exist. Yet, your faith belongs to you; you own it in the most complete sense. It is you that owns this faith and it is you that decides what to make of it. People get mad when something makes them question their faith, yet the only one that can question your faith is you. No man, woman, movie or book can influence the decision you have to keep or discard your faith. In the end, you are the one who decides the direction of your life. This book provides a peak into the closet. It gives you the choice to either believe that you do see the gold, or to believe that there is no gold. What you decide to see and believe is ultimately up to you. This book will help you understand why there is no gold, but instead a much more magical entity. The closet in reality isnt a box but is an unending future.

This book is about salvation by God's grace. If you were to ask the average Christian if he believed in salvation by grace, most would respond with an emphatic, "Yes." I know because I have asked people from many Christian faiths and each response has been in the affirmative. Why wouldn't it be? It would be an insult to God to suggest otherwise - "Yes, I believe that salvation is by grace."But when you ask them to explain grace, things get a little fuzzy. Their answers are very different. In other words, there are various attachments to their concept of what salvation by grace really is - how they, personally, were saved by grace. These attachments include reading the sinner's prayer, the waters of baptism, accepting Jesus, reciting some words, going down the Roman road, or participating in a church ritual. Yes, something is usually attached to the concept of what most Christians refer to as, "salvation by grace."Many Christians have realized that there are glaring differences among Christian churches concerning what is required for salvation, and the different explanations to salvation by grace. They realize that those who read the sinner's prayer didn't accept Jesus as the others did. The ones that accepted Jesus did not read the sinner's prayer. Those who relied on their baptism put no confidence in the other two. Yet, they all say they were saved by grace. Most of us have heard some very humorous stories about these glaring differences and which group is really going to heaven: "The Baptists are in one room and they think they are the only ones up here. Don't tell them the Methodists are down the hall." So, what I am saying is nothing new for most believers. They realize there are many different concepts concerning salvation by grace. Is anyone right, or is everyone right? In my personal experience I was in that category. I came to the same conclusion as many others have: it really doesn't matter which thing you did, as long as a person is sincere and did something, heaven is yours. No one is really right. We won't know who is right till we get to heaven and look in all the rooms. Yet, there was a tinge of unrest in my own soul - am I in the right room down here? But we don't have to wait till we get to heaven and look in all the rooms. Nor do we have to live with unrest in our own soul. There is a lens through which we may look and see how people from various Christian faiths, who have done different things to be saved, are really saved in exactly the same way. That lens is something we all know. It is God's amazing grace and it is manifested all over the Bible. This brings peace. That is the purpose of this book, to look at grace in the face of a loving Savior, Jesus Christ. He is a successful Savior. He saved His people and ...they are saved. I hope to expose God's grace in its original manifestation. I also hope to expose God's everlasting covenant, made between the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - a much neglected topic in our modern Christian arena. I want you to see grace in the same way that Paul and the other apostles believed it...and preached it. But more importantly, I want you to experience it. That is my prayer for you.The debate among Christians is not, "Did all of humanity fall in Adam?" Every knowledgeable Christian believes that. The debate lies in a more defined proposition: "How far did man fall?" Many have placed election in Pandora's box and never open it. Every Christian that I have ever met agrees with Jesus when He said: "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." (John 3:7) They all agree - you must be born again to go to heaven. But how this new birth takes place varies among Christians. Thankfully, God is faithful to regenerate all of His elect...even those who are at odds with Him on how it is done.

Must the gospel message include a call for people to repent of their sins? “No,” say Free Grace advocates. Is evidence of a changed life an important indication of whether a person is truly born again? “No, again,” these advocates say. But in this book, Wayne Grudem shows how the Bible answers “Yes” to both of these questions, arguing that the Free Grace movement contradicts both historic Protestant teaching and the New Testament itself. This important book explains the true nature of the Christian gospel and answers the question asked by so many people: “How can I know that I’m saved?”

Natural Theology written by Emil Brunner and has been published by Wipf and Stock Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2002-12-10 with Religion categories.

This reissue of Emil Brunner's 'Nature and Grace' with Karl Barth's response 'No!' places back into the hands of theological students one of the most important, and well publicized, theological arguments of the 20th century. Here we see the climax of Barth and Brunner's disagreement over the point of contact for the gospel in the consciousness of natural man. Also at stake is the nature of the theological task. Brunner claims that the task of that generation was to find a way back to a legitimate natural theology. Barth responds strongly, arguing that there is no way to knowledge of God by way of human reason. Barth's radical Christocentric redevelopment of Reformation theology left no room for any source of authority aside from the Word of God.
