The low frequency noise produced in generating a class A-D signal is studied. Noise levels are calculated using both computer models and analytic techniques. Although the treatment is not rigorous both methods show excellent agreement. The results indicate that the low frequency noise level is highly sensitive to the phase (time) jitter on the A-D amplifier output signal. (RH).

Noise Properties Of A Vhf Power Amplifier Theory And Experiment written by R. E. Post and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1974 with categories.

A study has been made to determine the mechanism of noise generation in vhf power amplifiers and oscillators in the 54- to 80-MHz range. Primary emphasis was placed on those amplifiers operating in the highly efficient Class D or switching mode whose instantaneous collector voltage is at or above the breakdown region. A primary result of the study is that the predominant source of output noise is avalanche multiplication in the collector-base region. A mathematical basis for predicting the static noise power has been developed, which shows good agreement with measurements made at 70 MHz on an amplifier covering the 54- to 80-MHz region with 40-watt output capability. Some special noise measurement test equipment was also developed during the study to facilitate accurate noise power measurements to within 5 percent away from the carrier frequency. Further work in this area is needed to correlate the dynamic noise power to transistor parameters. Improved techniques are also required to obtain parameters for the noise model with sufficient accuracy to characterize the avalanche process. (Author).

Nitride Semiconductor Technology written by Fabrizio Roccaforte and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-07-17 with Technology & Engineering categories.

The book "Nitride Semiconductor Technology" provides an overview of nitride semiconductors and their uses in optoelectronics and power electronics devices. It explains the physical properties of those materials as well as their growth methods. Their applications in high electron mobility transistors, vertical power devices, LEDs, laser diodes, and vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers are discussed in detail. The book further examines reliability issues in these materials and puts forward perspectives of integrating them with 2D materials for novel high-frequency and high-power devices. In summary, it covers nitride semiconductor technology from materials to devices and provides the basis for further research.
