Nel 1928, l'urbanista Virgilio Testa, ipotizzò un progetto di un "quartiere lineare" che comportava la realizzazione di nuovi nuclei abitativi tra Roma ed il mare, lungo la direttrice della ferrovia Roma Lido, immaginando Ostia come "il nuovo rione marino della metropoli futura". Il suo progetto non fu realizzato ma egli diede sicuramente l'input per la trasformazione e lo sviluppo del territorio che portava al mare. In questo libro affronteremo un viaggio alla scoperta dei quartieri che si estendono dalle Mura Aureliane al mare di Ostia tra storia, arte, cultura, toponomastica e stuzzicanti curiosità.
