Hanya setelah ditugaskan mengajar di pedalaman, menjadikan Cikgu Ahmad Fahim kaya dengan seribu satu pengalaman. Khalil yang sebelum ini tidak pernah merasai kasih sayang ibu bapa sejak kecil lantaran mereka telah hilang tanpa khabar berita, ini ibarat sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga. Pak Wan Shahrul yang membelanya selama ini turut meninggal dunia. Sejak itulah Khalil mengalami masalah dalam pembelajaran sehingga memaksa Mak Wan Idah meminta bantuan Cikgu Ahmad Fahim. “Khalil, cucu saya tidak pernah kenal ibu dan ayah sejak kecil. Mereka lari ke Siam...” sayu Mak Wan Idah meluah. Perkenalan dengan Cikgu Ahmad Fahim terus membuka lembaran baru. Khalil cuba berubah lantaran sikap guru kelasnya itu terlalu mengambil berat terhadapnya terutama hal pelajaran. “Ingat, dengan ilmu sahaja membuatkan kita berjaya dalam hidup.” Namun malangnya dugaan berat mengundang lagi. Mak Wan Idah meninggal dunia. Mak Wan Idah sempat berpesan, “Cikgu bantulah cari semula ibu bapa Khalil...” Penceritaan menjadi lebih menarik, semasa hari pengebumian, Dalila ibu kepada Khalil muncul. Khalil semakin ragu untuk menerima dan menuduhnya kejam. Cikgu Ahmad Fahim terus memujuk lagi untuk Khalil menerima ibunya kembali tanpa mengetahui Cikgu Ahmad Fahim dan Dalila sendiri mempunyai sejarah perkenalan yang begitu meruntun air mata. From 1990 1994 the Danish Research Council for the Humanities granted a research project entitled translation of LSP texts, which was initially split up into five part-projects, one of which has been concerned with LSP lexicography."The Manual of Specialised Lexicography" is one of the results of the research undertaken by this project. The primary purpose of the Manual is to contribute towards an improved basis for practical specialised lexicography, which has so far had but a small share in the explosive development that has taken place in general-language lexicography since the early 1970s. One implication of this is that only to a limited extent has it been possible to build upon existing findings.The Manual thus has the twofold aim of offering guidance and direction to authors of specialised dictionaries as well as contributing towards the further development of lexicographical theories.
