Escrita um ano antes da Revolução de Outubro e publicada no calor das jornadas revolucionárias de 1917, Imperialismo, estágio superior do capitalismo é considerada uma das obras mais importantes do líder bolchevique. Ao confrontar-se com os novos desafios do capital no século XX, Lênin acrescenta um capítulo às análises de Marx e Engels, oferecendo um dos mais importantes armamentos teóricos para o proletariado diante do capital monopolista. Peace and War by Raymond Aron is one of the greatest books ever written on international relations.
