The beginnings of what we now call 'globalization' dates from the early sixteenth century, when Europeans, in particular the Iberian monarchies, began to connect 'the four parts of the world'. O problema surge quando aplicamos aos direitos indisponíveis os avanços advindos da cibernética. Defendemos que os testamentos podem ser realizados por meio da internet, pois já existe um sistema que lhes garantirá a segurança jurídica necessária, não entrando em confronto com os direitos da personalidade. Em tempos de pandemia nesse início da década de 20 do século XXI, este tema se tornou mais relevante ainda, precisando ser estudado e evoluído para uma proteção mais sistemática e organizada, onde parâmetros legais serão indispensáveis para manutenção da ordem jurídica vigente. A existência da assinatura digital, baseada em um sistema de chaves criptográficas, ou no futuro, com a utilização de outros métodos, como por exemplo a biometria, ou até mesmo o blockchain, já empregado nas criptomoedas, auxiliará na comunicação da última vontade do testador, não havendo nenhuma possibilidade de anulação, haja vista estarem preenchidos os requisitos legais, principalmente quanto à forma, pois qualquer documento eletrônico efetuado com espeque na Medida Provisória 2.200-2/2001, é equiparado àquele manuscrito e com a rubrica autógrafa do interessado.
