The Secrets of Enduring Love focuses on what couples actually do to maintain, nurture and nourish their relationships. The reader will be taken on a journey through different ways of doing relationships, focusing on the key themes which came out of the research: everyday acts of kindness and appreciation; the importance of home; communication and conflict management; sex and intimacy; incorporating others into the relationship (children, pets, friends, hobbies); and telling your own love story. One of the key messages from the research is that different things work for different people, and at different times in the relationship. For this reason the book focuses on the differnt practices that we might bring into our own relationships, helping us to recognise the small things which we may be already doing but which ordinarily go by unnoticed, and offering a helping hand to find out what works best for us.

Pocket Book edition of The Art of Love: The Craft of Relationship by Massimilla and Bud Harris. Millions of books on relationships have been printed in the last several years. Why do we need another one? We need The Art of Love: The Craft of Relationship for the same reasons that over four and a half million readers wanted Spencer Johnson's Who Moved My Cheese in a market that already had over 12,000 titles in print on the subject of change. Following Johnson's methods of teaching to a broad, modern audience, The Art of Love presents the profound principles that form a loving relationship in an easily accessible manner. Using a deceptively simple approach, it will help people shift their attitudes and give them the skills to create a loving, long-lasting partnership. There are so many titles in print on change because it is an ongoing challenge for most of us. So are relationships. With many years of experience working with couples, Bud and Massimilla Harris share vital information, lessons, and insights. Engaging, and easy to read, The Art of Love: The Craft of Relationship is packed with wisdom, skills, and ideas that can open the door to a new era of fulfilling relationships. This forthcoming Fisher King Press publication brings complex material and common sense into a format that is carefully constructed to achieve results by being communicative and consistent, enjoyable and hopeful. The Art of Love: The Craft of Relationship is for: * Singles and couples who seek self-improvement, who want to enrich their relationships, and who desire practical advice for helping love and trust grow. * Singles who are frustrated with their current relationships or have difficulty staying in long-term relationships, and who want to find and develop a more supportive and interactive partnership. * Couples who need to learn how to understand each other better in order to have their uniqueness affirmed without threatening their relationship. * Couples who are experiencing relational difficulties and who need to improve their communication with each other and learn how to handle conflicts in a way that brings them closer together. * Divorced individuals who need support in understanding why their marriages failed and who need encouragement in seeking to get their needs met again. * People who are interested in cultivating love and closeness in a way that supports individual growth. * Therapists and counselors who seek an accessible resource for their clients, and for readers who wish to explore the most recent perspectives on relationship dynamics. * Groups of people, whether religious or educational, who are concerned about the state of their relationships. Relationships 101 written by Kennedy Vanterpool and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-04-01 with Family & Relationships categories.

Enduring relationships is one of few subjects that ignite such pathos, passion, and drive. Regardless of our culture, color, creed, cleverness, clout, or convictions we all want to love and be loved. We are relational beings. Yet the paradox of life is that we can't live with people and we can't live without them, because life is all about relationships. It was God who said it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18). Yet we believe we can make it on our own, we find there are a great deal of people, especially men, who are alone, even if they attend church. We struggle and fight our battles alone and this was not designed by God. It is other people who help to make our lives what it is. The saying is true, "It is not what you know it is who you know." The best person to know is God. The most important relationship in our lives is the one with God. However our dilemma is that we want men and women whom God created differently to develop and maintain relationships in the same manner. We are so much into uniformity rather than unity. Unfortunately our churches which are predominately women have turned the social and spiritual structure into a feminine atmosphere and rightly so because it is female dominated. As a result this it has kept many men away because they cannot be who God created them to be and worship and serve Him based on who they are as men. Men and women are different. It is ironic, because we can only know how to relate to God as we know how to relate to each other as human beings. The apostle John made this point very clear, "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? (1 John 4:20). God has given us one another to partner with before we can really learn to partner with Him. The key then to loving God is learning to partner and love each other as males and as females. Therefore if we have problems loving and relating to our fellowmen we will have problems loving and relating to God. If we have a problem partnering with God it is because we have problems partnering with our fellowmen. This is what the Spirit has been impressing upon me lately that life is all about relationships, and most important is my partnering with God. I was painting our house on May 24, 2007 when the Spirit impressed upon me to begin writing this book Relationships 101. Here I am being obedient to the Spirit. I must admit I had some reservations that there might be other books by that name already on the market and I was tempted to search the internet to find out if such books exist. However I refrained myself and started writing. The suspense was killing me, so two days later I searched the internet and sure there were several books with a similar title, however this one deals with all relationships other than the marriage relationships. There are many books on the subject. Furthermore this book deals with relationships that will extend into eternity. What I have observed is that society and the church has subscribed to this concept, we begin to become serious about friendships when people are about to get married. We have limited relationships to marriage. This is when some couples begin seeking counseling. Others don't because they feel they are grown and they know how relationships should work. However when they encounter the tests of life within their marriage, they flunk it, and some so badly they end up divorcing or separating from their spouse. Many of the divorces are very nasty and the children are the ones left to suffer the most. Unfortunately, this information has been and is being passed down from generation to generation. This was true in my case, I did not get any counseling. I waited even longer after I was already married for a few years I started reading any book I could find on the subject of marriage. You know I have made a great deal of mistakes. This cycle m

My goal with this book is to share information that readers might find of value in their own relationships. Looking back on my own life experience, I wish someone had shared some of this with me so I could have avoided learning many things the hard way. The first two readers found this book really helpful and their thoughts appear below. Oftentimes clear, true insight comes from someone not "trained" or "educated" in a particular field of thought. This book represents one of those times. The subject of "relationships" is so complicated few outside the legal/ counseling/mental health arenas even attempt to address it for fear of being ignored, misunderstood or, worse yet, laughed at. The author's conversational style makes his book about the subject quite easy to read / understand and as one absorbs his meaning . . . believable. It rings so true that as I was reading, I kept wanting to cut out paragraphs to put on my computer, refrigerator and bathroom mirror! Read this book. You will be glad you found it. In fact, you will probably send a copy to your child . . . I did! JHB RN, BSN, MHA Author, editor, publisher I found this bookto be such an informative and important read offering tips for all types. I couldn't agree withthe authormore about never ever taking your partner for granted and that love means ALWAYS saying you're sorry- actually as quickly, whole-heartedly and as often as needed.I'd recommend Bill's book toadd zest to an already good relationship or to help you create the one you long for. Denise Fleck Relationship: Notes on Love, Mutual Respect, Boundaries, Marriage, and Divorce contains ten easy to read and understand chapters with valuable, down-to-earth notes based on real life experience. In addition to a Preface and Introduction, the chapters are What is Love, What is A Good Relationship, Fostering and Nouturing Relationships, Harming Relationships, Mutual Respect, Boundaries, Marriage, Breakups and Divorce, Helpful Tips, and Final Thoughts. While relationship is seldom simple, this book boils it down to no-fluff basics. Not everything in this book will feel comfortable to everyone. You may find some of the suggestions uncomfortable or even intrusive. I fully expect some push back from men and perhaps some women. Even I have found that not all of the ideas work for me, but some of those have worked for others. Every relationship involves two unique individuals and only you and your partner can decide what may be of value to you. I believe there is much in this book worth exploring and I hope many couples will benefit from the reading. I'm fortunate to be in a wonderful relationship and I wish everyone the same happiness that Barbara and I share. In addition to the information in this book, I welcome your questions and comments by email at: [email protected] and at my relationship blog at: http: //goodrelationships101.com/.

Relationship Physics written by Hope Cannon and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-11-05 with categories.

Relationship Physics is a disarming presentation of one of life's great challenges, how relationships work. Using spare text and hand drawn illustrations, Relationship Physics deconstructs and demystifies the bewildering, often confounding workings of relationships. It provides the reader with a cognitive and visual framework as well as offers ways to foster resilience and disempower intrusive problems. As the author and illustrator, I combine words and drawings to render complex ideas as accessible and recognizable as common sense. The concepts are intelligent and current. The illustrations are more old fashioned, tender, and often funny. Overall the book has a bit of a post modern/retro feel. The weighty subject of relationship becomes a fun, enlightening read for anyone, regardless of their current relationship status. It is the kind of book, a couple might choose to read together over a second cup of coffee on a weekend morning for fun, or they may turn to it for help and guidance after a weeknight fight. Regardless, as the readers turn the pages, they are likely to exclaim, "That's so true!", "We do that! We totally do that!", "Oh no! Am I like that?" Next, they turn the page and burst out laughing.
