Muster GmbH die Organisation von Investition und Finanzierung für ein neues Produkt, im Zusammenhang mit dem Kauf einer neuen Maschine, aufgezeigt werden. Sie besteht im wesentlichen aus drei Teilen: - Investitionsentscheidungsprozess - Finanzierungsentscheidung - und Auswertung der geplanten Investition im Zusammenhang mit den veränderten Rentabilitätsfaktoren des Unternehmens. Es wird in Zukunft von einer nachhaltigen soliden Ertragslage der Unternehmen abhängig sein, zu welchen Konditionen Bankkredite vergeben werden („Basel II“). Durch Stärkung der Gesamtrentabilität und höhere Gewinne wird das Überleben im globalen Wettbewerb wesentlich gefestigt. Die notwendigen Finanzmittel – ob als Eigen- oder Fremdkapital – müssen so effektiv wie irgend möglich in diesen Prozess eingeplant werden. Dadurch erhält der Investitionsentscheidungsprozess und der Finanzierungsplan einer bevorstehenden Investition einen immer größeren Stellenwert im betriebswirtschaftlichen Wertesystem. Ein Spannungsfeld dieser Entwicklung ist allerdings, dass immer mehr Firmen vordergründig nur diesen Gedanken (Shareholder-Value) verfolgen und ihre soziale und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung vernachlässigen. Dabei steht außer Frage, dass eine gesunde und solide Firma ihren Arbeitnehmern eine höhere soziale Sicherheit bieten kann. Die Entwicklung der Wirtschaft, speziell in den letzten Monaten, ist geprägt durch die Abschwächung der Konjunktur. Die Prognosen zum Wachstum wurden deutlich nach unten korrigiert und entsprechen teilweise nur noch einem sogenannten Nullwachstum. Dies bedeutet in der Regel einen Umsatzrückgang.
