"In 'Appunti di cucinare emozioni' ho voluto esprimere una mia grande passione quella per la cucina, che ho sempre avuto ma sono riuscita a coltivare ed apprezzare pienamente solo ora a quarantatré anni, età in cui nella vita si vivono le proprie 'emozioni' con maggiore consapevolezza e maturità. Ho cercato in questa mia opera di raccogliere le mie ricette che variano da piatti molto semplici, come una buona pasta con il tonno o un classico, ma mai banale, ciambellone, a ricette un pochino più complesse come il polpo su vellutata di zucca con cipolla caramellata e perle di caffè, che è frutto di vari esperimenti e di una consapevolezza sicuramente diversa rispetto ai miei primi approcci ai fornelli... Ho ritenuto opportuno articolare il mio libro in ricette descritte in modo semplice e sintetico al fine di essere facilmente comprensibili e nel contempo rispecchiare i canoni di una cucina per certi aspetti anche veloce ed adatta allo stile di vita odierno. Nel descrivere e rappresentare i vari piatti, ho sentito l'esigenza di richiamare delle citazioni di intellettuali e artisti di epoche diverse che a mio modo di vedere hanno saputo cogliere il senso di cosa rappresenti la cucina che, non è semplicemente un'attività per soddisfare le esigenze nutrizionale dell'essere umano ma è un'arte che consente ad ognuno di noi di estrinsecare il proprio 'io'."
