L'Osteopatia è medicina generale manuale, tratta le malattie dell'apparato locomotore, del sistema nervoso, cardio-circolatorio e polmonare, viscerale, urogenitale e psicosomatiche curando la causa che genera il sintomo. Anche alcune anomalie genetiche, come la sindrome di Down ed altre che causano disturbi generali e dell'apprendimento, possono essere trattate in tecnica osteopatica con miglioramenti generali e dell'apprendimento. In ogni caso è il trattamento più precoce possibile. Tali trattamenti vengono effettuati osservando le basi concettuali teorizzate in materia osteopatica dal Dottor Andrew Taylor Still, notissimo medico chirurgo americano dello stato del Missouri, unanimemente considerato il padre dell'osteopatia. Ho scritto questo testo divulgativo su alcune indicazioni dell'osteopatia al fine di informare e orientare meglio gli utenti che si avvalgono delle cure osteopatiche.
