Do things bring happiness? Do you believe only what you see? What is truth? What can you reliably know? Is death nothingness? Does God exist? This book examines such questions, from which two distinct world views arise and are surveyed. The book examines reality, how our choices determine our character and final destination, knowledge, and limitations of science; surveys relativity, quantum physics, life, evolution, and mans uniqueness; and looks at realitys material and immaterial aspects. Genesis is reviewed and shown to have scientific meaning. The book ends by proposing two very different paths that one can choose to follow.

At this moment in history, we're faced with one of the biggest choice points we have ever encountered. Individuals are making choices to change their nations; nature is giving us a wake-up call; economies are struggling; and for many of us, the future looks uncertain. Yet people are also rallying to have a voice, awakening from their apathy of previous decades. Collectively and individually, we are being given the opportunity to make extraordinary choices in order to change where we are headed. Based on the extraordinary film Choice Point, which features insights from some of the world's leading change-makers--including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Sir Richard Branson, Arielle Ford, Tony Benn, James Caan, Gregg Braden, Dr. Larry Dossey, and His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapa, this inspiring book reveals exclusive material not seen in the film, and explores its exciting discoveries in greater depth. It shows you how to understand your world like never before, how to align your own true purpose with the patterns of the universe, and finally, how to be the change that you want to see in the world around you.

End Of Art Philosophy In Hegel Nietzsche And Danto written by Stephen Snyder and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-11-04 with Philosophy categories.

This book examines the little understood end-of-art theses of Hegel, Nietzsche, and Danto. The end-of-art claim is often associated with the end of a certain standard of taste or skill. However, at a deeper level, it relates to a transformation in how we philosophically understand our relation to the ‘world’. Hegel, Nietzsche, and Danto each strive philosophically to overcome Cartesian dualism, redrawing the traditional lines between mind and matter. Hegel sees the overcoming of the material in the ideal, Nietzsche levels the two worlds into one, and Danto divides the world into representing and non-representing material. These attempts to overcome dualism necessitate notions of the self that differ significantly from traditional accounts; the redrawn boundaries show that art and philosophy grasp essential but different aspects of human existence. Neither perspective, however, fully grasps the duality. The appearance of art’s end occurs when one aspect is given priority: for Hegel and Danto, it is the essentialist lens of philosophy, and, in Nietzsche’s case, the transformative power of artistic creativity. Thus, the book makes the case that the end-of-art claim is avoided if a theory of art links the internal practice of artistic creation to all of art’s historical forms.

This book is an ideal resource on the subject of systems practice for busy managers whose time is scarce. It provides a rapid introduction to straightforward, yet powerful ideas that enable users to address real world problems. Systems theory and practice is predominantly a framework for thinking about the World, in which holistic views are maintained. In this respect it contrasts with some familiar techniques of management science, in which problem situations are broken down into their constituent parts with resultant loss of coherence.
