Problem statement: Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH); a proven marker of ovarian reserve, is known as the most reliable predictor of ovarian responsiveness to various controlled ovarian stimulation. Its role as a predictor of clinical pregnancy in assisted reproductive techniques (ART) is debatable. Our study aimed to analyze the outcome of Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection Embryo Transfer (ICSI-ET) cycles in women with low circulating AMH and factors affecting their probability of conception. Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of details of 136 women with low circulating AMH (AMH2.19ng/ml) levels who had undergone ICSI u2013ET cycles for a period of 6 months (January - June 2019).Results: In our study, of the 136 women with low circulating AMH, 91 (66.9%)were with AMH in the range of 1 ng/ml-2.19ng/ml and remaining 45 (33.1%) were with less than 1ng/ml. Most women, 61(44.9%) were more than 35 years of age, 46(33.8%) were between 30-34 years, and; 29(21.3%) were below 30 years. Clinically positive pregnancy was observed in 54/136 (39.7%) women. More than half of the women (51.6%) with positive pregnancy outcome had AMH in the range of 1.0ng/ml-2.19ng/ml, whereas only 15.6% women with AMH

This book presents up-to-date knowledge on infertility in the context of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and provides clear evidence-based guidance on its treatment. The book opens by discussing anovulation, oocyte quality, and the endometrium in women with PCOS, infertility and subfertility cofactors, and the impact of PCOS phenotypes on fertility. All aspects of management are then thoroughly addressed. The available medical treatments for PCOS-related infertility – including antiestrogens, aromatase inhibitors, insulin-sensitizing drugs, and gonadotropins – are reviewed, and other potential therapeutic approaches, such as acupuncture and laparoscopic ovarian drilling, are assessed. Careful attention is also devoted to the role of lifestyle interventions. The use of controlled ovarian stimulation in infertile PCOS patients undergoing intrauterine insemination or in vitro fertilization is examined in detail, as are the benefits of in vitro maturation of oocytes. This book will be of value to all who are involved in the care of women with PCOS and related infertility issues.
