Die vorliegende Studie widmet sich in ausfhrlicher und umfassender Form dem Ph„nomen der HipHop-Kultur als gr”áte Jugendkultur der Neuzeit. Besonderes Augenmerk wird dabei auf die Situation in Deutschland und auf eine p„dagogische Sichtweise gelegt, so dass die Informationen eine Relevanz fr den Umgang mit HipHop-affinen Jugendgruppen z.B. in Jugendzentren, Ferienfreizeiten, Stadtteilworkshops, Jugendveranstaltungen, o.„. haben. Um dem Thema und seiner Aufarbeitung in wissenschaftlicher Hinsicht gerecht zu werden, wird sich dem Kern von HipHop als Jugendkultur schrittweise gen„hert, wobei zun„chst die Ph„nomene "Jugend" und "Kultur" historisch und entwicklungstheoretisch, sowie in ihren gegenw„rtigen Formen betrachtet werden. Nach der Zusammenfhrung dieser beiden Begriffe zu "Jugendkultur" wird ein genauer šberblick ber alle jugendkulturellen Ausformungen in Deutschland seit Bestehen dieser Form der Vergesellschaftung gegeben, um schlieálich auf aktuelle jugendkulturelle Merkmale einzugehen. Von diesen wird im weiteren Verlauf des Buches die Jugendkultur des HipHop und deren verschiedenen Elemente Rap, DJing, Breakdance und Graffiti ausfhrlich in ihrer jungen Geschichte und in ihren Merkmalen beschrieben. Aufgrund der medial starken šberpr„senz des Elementes des Rap-Sprechgesangs wird dieses einer eingehenderen Betrachtung unterzogen, bevor der Verlauf der globalen Ausdehnung der HipHop-Kultur nachvollzogen wird. Ebenso umfassend werden im Anschluss die Einfhrung und Ausbreitung dieser Jugendkultur in Deutschland und die Grnde fr ihren hier verorteten, medialen Boom seit dem Jahrtausendwechsel beschrieben. Um die Grenze zwischen Theorie und Praxis zu minimieren, werden auáerdem drei fr den Siegeszug von HipHop in Deutschland mitverantwortliche Rapsongs in ihren Texten exemplarisch analysiert und in ihren Aussagen allgemeinverst„ndlich dargelegt. Schlieálich werden auf Grund des erarbeiteten Hintergrundwissens p„dagogische šberlegungen angestellt, die sich vor allem in Form eines kritischen Blicks auf Aussagen und Einstellungen bestimmter Rapgenres, aber auch in identit„tsstiftenden Angeboten von HipHop und in M”glichkeiten direkter Einbindung in sozialp„dagogische Arbeit niederschlagen. Als unverzichtbar angesehene Szenebegriffe wurden in die Ausarbeitungen einbezogen und in ihrer Bedeutung in einem Glossar erl„utert.
