Puji syukur kami panjatkan kehadirat Allah SWT atas segala rahmat dan karunia-Nya sehingga buku panduan pembelajaran berbasis projek, program sekolah penggerak SMP Negeri 6 Sidoarjo ini dapat diselesaikan dengan baik. Tujuan dari penyusunan buku panduan pembelajaran berbasis projek ini adalah sebagai dasar dan acuan bapak dan ibu guru fasilitator dalam membarikan materi kegiatan pembelajaran projek, sehingga diharapkan pembelajaran projek yang dilaksanakan peserta didik kelas VIII dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan sistematis. Tema yang diangkat pada pembelajaran berbasis projek pertama yaitu menghidupkan musyawarah sebagai perwujudan demokrasi pada siswa. Buku panduan ini dirancang sebagai pegangan bapak dan ibu guru fasilitator pembelajaran projek ke-1 kelas VIII semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2022/2023 SMP Negeri 6 Sidoarjo yang menerapkan kurikulum Sekolah Penggerak. Buku Panduan ini menggunakan metode studi literatur, observasi, dan praktik lapangan. Sehingga dapat memberikan informasi yang dibutuhkan fasilitator dalam memberikan pengalaman belajar secara langsung dan nyata, serta bagi peserta didik diharapkan dapat membiasakan kegiatan musyawarah di berbagai lingkungan kehidupan sebagai bentuk perwujudan demokrasi dimana sebagai bekal nanti saat peserta didik terjun di masyarakat. Tim penyusun mengucapkan terima kasih terhadap pihak yang telah berkontribusi dalam penyusunan buku panduan ini. Tim penyusun menyadari bahwa dalam buku panduan pembelajaran berbasis projek ini masih belum sempurna. Oleh karena itu kritik dan saran dari pembaca dapat menjadi evaluasi dan perbaikan agar menjadi lebih baik. Pendidikan memiliki peran penting sebagai agen perubahan sosial (social agent of change). Oleh karena itu, pendidikan selalu diarahkan untuk mencapai tujuan secara nasional. Tujuan pendidikan nasional diharapkan dapat melahirkan manusia Indonesia yang religius dan bermoral, mampu menguasai ilmu pengetahuan dan ketrampilan, sehat jasmani dan rohani, berkepribadian dan bertanggung jawab. Program Sekolah Penggerak adalah upaya untuk mewujudkan visi Pendidikan Indonesia dalam mewujudkan Indonesia maju yang berdaulat, mandiri, dan berkepribadian melalui terciptanya Pelajar Pancasila. Hal ini sesuai dengan yang tertuang dalam surat keputusan Menteri No. 162 tahun 2021 yang menjadi dasar hukum pelaksanaan program sekolah penggerak. Sekolah penggerak menggunakan kurikulum protoipe dimana pembelajaran paradigma baru mencakup pemetaan standar kompetensi, merdeka belajar, dan asesmen kompetensi minimal. Pembelajaran paradigma baru tersebut, bertujuan mewujudkan profil pelajar Pancasila, yaitu yang memiliki karakter, beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, mandiri, bergotong royong, bernalar kritis, dan kreatif. SMP Negeri 6 Sidoarjo sebagai sekolah terpilih pelaksana program kurikulum sekolah penggerak melaksanaan Program pendidikan melalui pembelajaran paradigma baru. Pembelajaran paradigma baru dirancang berdasarkan prinsip pembelajaran yang terdiferensiasi, sehingga setiap peserta didik belajar sesuai kebutuhan dan tahap perkembangannya sebagai wujud merdeka belajar dengan mengacu pada karakter profil pelajar pancasila. Salah satu karakteristik Kurikulum Prototipe adalah menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek (project based learning) untuk mendukung pengembangan karakter sesuai dengan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Dalam implementasi Kurikulum Prototipe, sekolah diberikan keleluasaan dan kemerdekaan untuk memberikan proyek-proyek pembelajaran yang relevan dan dekat dengan lingkungan sekolah. Tahun ini SMP Negeri 6 Sidoarjo telah memasuki tahun ke dua pelaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis projek . Pada semester satu tahun ajaran 2022/2023 tema besar pertama yang diangkat yaitu Suara Demokrasi. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran projek dilaksanakan untuk kelas VII dan VIII akan tetapi topiknya berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil pemilihan kelas VIII menentukan topik “Menghidupkan musyawarah sebagai perwujudan demokrasi”. Salah satu aspek penting terlaksananya kegiatan demokrasi yaitu melalui musyawarah untuk mencapai mufakat. Oleh karena itu topik tersebut diusung karena peserta didik sebagai calon generasi penerus bangsa dihaparkan terbiasa melaksanakan kegiatan musyawarah mufakat untuk dilaksanakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan upaya mewujudkan kehidupan yang deomkratis. Indonesia adalah negara demokrasi di mana sebuah keputusan tidak ditentukan oleh satu orang saja, melainkan melibatkan beberapa orang untuk mencapai sebuah keputusan. Jadi musyawarah itu kegiatan yang penting untuk dilakukan sebagaimana terdapat pada prinsip demokrasi yang merujuk pada sila keempat Pancasila.

An excerpt of a supposed exchange between Laozi (attributed author of Daodejing) and Kongzi (aka Confucius). The exact source to this excerpt is unknown, but it is likely inspired by one of the Outer Chapters of the Book of Zhuangzi - 庄子-天道 (Zhuangzi: Dao/way of Heaven). 孔子解释道："吾乃忧大道不行，仁义不施，战乱不止，国乱不治也，故有人生短暂，不能有功于世、不能有为于民之感叹矣。" Kongzi explains his concerns "I am worried that should the great Dao be not moving/functioning, that benevolence and righteous be not practised, there will be no end to the chaos of war, there will be no governance/cure to the chaos in countries. Human life is short and temporary, yet I have no successful contribution to society and no useful service to the populace. This is why I am lamenting/sighing here [by the bank of the river]." 老子道："天地无人推而自行，日月无人燃而自明，星辰无人列而自序，禽兽无人造而自生，此乃自然为之也，何劳人为乎？人之所以生、所以无、所以荣、所以辱，皆有自然之理、自然之道也。顺自然之理而趋，遵自然之道而行，国则自治，人则自正，何须津津于礼乐而倡仁义哉？津津于礼乐而倡仁义，则违人之本性远矣。犹如人击鼓寻求逃跑之人，击之愈响，则人逃跑得愈远矣!" Laozi says "Heaven and earth have no human pushing but move/function by themselves. Sun and moon have no human lighting but shine by themselves. The constellation of stars have no human arranging but are in proper-order by themselves. Birds and beasts have no human constructing but are born by themselves. This is action naturally as such by itself. It burdens not on human to act for them. As for humans, why they come to be born, come to be non-existent, come to rise in fame/glory, come to sink in disgrace/obscurity, it all has its reason/pattern naturally as such by itself too, it all has its way/dao naturally as such by itself too. Accord to the natural reason/pattern and walk, accord to the natural way/dao and move, countries will come to be governed/cured by themselves, humans will come to be correct/upright by themselves. What's the need then to indulge in propriety/ritual-music/pleasure to advocate benevolence and righteousness? To indulge in propriety/ritual-music/pleasure to advocate benevolence and righteousness is actually to deviate far from the original nature that's of human. Just like someone striking the drum hard to seek those people who are fleeing away. The more booming the strike, the further the people flee away!"
