El trabajo titulado "Partido de Olavarria: Ordenacion morfo-fitoedafica y Evaluacion de tierras para fines rurales" tiene como finalidad desarrollar un diagnostico socioeconomico-ecologico, es decir, una Ordenacion Ambiental del partido de Olavarria. El territorio del partido de Olavarria como area de estudio comprende justamente uno de los partidos en los que se desenvuelve la UNCPBA, conformando junto a otros el area central de influencia regional de la Universidad. Y mas alla de ese aspecto, la seleccion de dicha area deriva de la necesidad de caracterizar su diversidad de tierras, los principales atributos ecologicos (geoformas, suelos y vegetacion) de las mismas, como asimismo los diferentes paisajes de su territorio, sus funciones ecologicas, sus potenciales y restricciones, su capacidad de uso con fines de produccion de biomasa y la configuracion interna del paisaje global."
