Paul Biya, the octogenarian second president of Cameroon has been power for forty-six years (ten years as Prime Minister, which is the second highest office of the land, and thirty-six years as the President ---the highest office of the land), making him Africa's and the world's longest-serving head of state who is a non-royal.
