Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, kajian terhadap sastra mengalami perkembangan yang signifikan, termasuk di dalamnya sastra anak. Hal ini tampaknya tak lepas dari kesadaran bahwa sastra anak menduduki posisi penting dalam upaya membentuk manusia berkepribadian unggul. Sastra anak menjadi medium apik dalam mengembangkan wawasan tentang kehidupan dan mentransfer nilai-nilai kepada anak dalam balutan keindahan bangun bahasa-ceritanya. Karena itu, menurut Nurgiyantoro, akhirnya timbul kesan bahwa pembelajaran sastra tidak lain adalah pembelajaran moral atau nilai-nilai. Indikasi perkembangan kajian sastra anak terlihat dari penelitian-penelitian sastra anak yang menggunakan perspektif baru, yang tak terpisahkan dari derap kemajuan zaman dalam bidang teknologi atau yang lebih kita kenal dengan industry 4.0. Misalnya, lahirnya sastra digital atau cyber sastra. Kemunculan sastra dalam bentuk digital menjadi angin segar bagi tumbuh suburnya karya sastra, karena cyber sastra memiliki ruang publikasi yang sangat luas. Artinya, aturan-aturan dan konvensi-konvensi tentang penerbitan karya agak terkesampingkan. Di sisi lain, sastra anak hakikatnya memerlukan adanya batasan mengingat sasarannya adalah anak dengan segala latar belakang dan karakteristiknya. Implikasinya, kajian sastra anak pun berkembang seturut dengan itu. Perkembangan teknologi yang begitu cepat pada sisi yang lain menumbuhkan kekhawatiran akan terkikisnya sisi humanis kita, baik pada tataran individu secara pribadi maupun pada tataran individu sebagai representasi dari nilai-nilai karakter bangsa. Karenanya, saat ini kita mulai beranjak dari revolusi industry 4.0 menuju Masyarakat 5.0. Di sinilai, sekali lagi, posisi strategis sastra ditunjukkan, mengingat fungsi dasar sastra yaitu dulce (menghibur) dan utile (mendidik). Dalam hal ini, tentu yang dimaksud adalah menghibur dan mendidik untuk-anak-anak. Kondisi-kondisi di atas mengarah pada satu benang merah, bahwa peranan para sastrawan, peneliti, dan akademisi sangat dibutuhkan untuk menjadi bagian dari upaya mengantarkan generasi bangsa memiliki karakter unggul dan berwawasan global melalui sastra. Sebagai respon atas hal tersebut, HISKI Komisariat Malang, HISKI Komisariat Surabaya, dan HISKI Komisariat UNESA berkolaborasi untuk menghimpun dan mempublikasikan ide, pemikiran, dan gagasan akan hal itu dalam sebuah bunga rampai berjudul “Sastra dan Anak di Era Revolusi Industri 4.0 Menuju Masyarakat 5.0”.

This is an open access book.According to Castells, power now rests in networks: “the logic of the network is more powerful than the powers of the network” (quoted in Weber, 2002, p. 104) – it is whether nation states or local communities are deeply affected, especially by inclusion in and exclusion from the global networks that structure a various sectors in society at any level. Thus it is also crucial look closely at exclusion from and inclusion in different kinds of social structures where connectivity and access to networks are essential, being aware that people at the bottom are those who, with nothing to offer the network, are excluded. Castells’ arguments shows us how the new forms of network society offer challenges in a way that despite the disappearance of conventional ties, exploitation, marginalization, exclusion and differentiation remain. In what follows, scholarships are invited to build an academic discussion on characterizing the structure and dynamics of societies in the world of the twenty-first century. Thus, scholar may come to look at the meaning of being in a network society by examining the role of network society within the complexity of socio-cultural, political and economic circumstances in strengthening the role of science in overcoming local, national, regional and global problems. But scientific research is also required to identify a wide variety of solutions to societal problems enhanced by the network society, which no longer relate solely to a particular discipline, but are multi- and trans-disciplinary. In addition, recent research has changed the traditional role of academia, demanding more collaboration in the production of science, not only among universities, but also among researchers, social practitioners and policymakers. Considering these issues, the fourth Asia-Pacific Research in Social Sciences and Humanities (APRiSH) will be hosted by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FISIP UI) in 2019 under the theme The Network Society: Continuity and Change. Scientific inputs from all parts of the world are welcome, academically and practically. The 1st Conference of Visual Art, Design, and Social Humanities (CONVASH) 2019 is a seminar in the fields of art, design and humanities held on November 2, 2019 by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD), Universitas Sebelas Maret in Surakarta, Indonesia. Since its establishment as a Faculty 5 years ago, The Faculty of Fine Arts and Designs has conducted 4 international conferences. The 1st CONVASH 2019 is our international conference new brand and we have a commitment to hold CONVASH annually. Conference of Visual Art, Design, and Social Humanities (CONVASH) 2019 is a tangible manifestation of FSRD's efforts to contribute to science and improve publication quality on the international level. This event is expected to bring about collaboration, scientific transfer, and publications that can contribute to the scientific fields of arts, design and humanities. The conference aims to facilitate research presentations and knowledge exchange in art, design, technology, and social humanities, as well as create academic networks among students, lecturers and researchers in the related fields. Further, this conference will bring opportunities to learn together to develop quality research in various fields, expand the collaboration networks among universities and industries, and become a forum to disseminate research and knowledge to a wider audience. The committee received more than 130 papers from the participants and based on the results of the reviews, only 96 papers were declared qualified to be presented at the seminar and subsequently published in the proceedings of CONVASH-2019 Finally, the committee congratulates and expresses gratitude to the selected participants for the participation and paper publication in the proceeding of CONVASH-2019. The committee would also like to thank all parties who have supported and actively participated for the success of this event.
