Esta abordagem, cuja origem neste país remonta ao séc. XIX (Makinae, 2010; Isoda, 2010), começou a ganhar visibilidade e a merecer maior interesse sobretudo a partir do final dos anos 90 do século passado nos EUA (Fernandez, 2002), e é hoje conhecida e usada em muitos 9países – também em Portugal (Quadrante, 2017) e no Brasil, país onde esta série de livros irá certamente ser de boa utilidade.
