‘Terminologi’ sering dalam bahasa Indonesia disebut dengan (1) peristilahan tentang kata-kata dan (2) batasan atau definisi suatu istilah. Namun dalam sebutan terminologi terkandung juga makna ‘penggunaan’ dari istilah tersebut dalam suatu konteks. Aspek-aspek dari suatu terminologi mencakup analisis suatu konsep yang digunakan (khusus di bidang hukum internasional); mencari makna atau pengertian suatu istilah; menetapkan kesamaan dalam beberapa istilah yang digunakan dalam bermacam bidang hukum; serta menginventarisasi seluruh istilah-istilah yang sejenis. Terminologi Hukum Internasional yang disusun ini disertai dengan penggunaannya pada ‘peraturan-peraturan’ dan ‘putusan pengadilan’ serta putusan arbitrase Internasional. Di samping terminologi, dalam penyusunannya, juga dimuat putusan-putusan dari Mahkamah Internasional (The International Court of Justice), Mahkamah Pidana Internasional (The International Criminal Court), dan Panel Khusus dan Spesialis Pidana Internasional (The International Criminal Tribunals and Special Court). Dasar pertimbangannya, putusan peradilan merupakan keputusan-keputusan yang berkontribusi penting dalam pembentukan norma-norma baru hukum Internasional. Untuk memperkaya, ditambahkan pula keputusan-keputusan dari Badan-Badan Arbitrase Internasional maupun Keputusan Mahkamah Hak-Hak Asasi Manusia serta keputusan badan-badan peradilan internasional yang lainnya. Untuk melengkapinya disajikan pula tokoh-tokoh hukum internasional berikut substansi penting pemikirannya serta karyanya. Pada bagian akhir, disajikan daftar pustaka rujukan. Sekiranya bahan-bahan rujukan itu diperlukan pengguna dapat menghubungi penyusun untuk mendapatkan literatur tersebut.

Global value chains (GVCs) powered the surge of international trade after 1990 and now account for almost half of all trade. This shift enabled an unprecedented economic convergence: poor countries grew rapidly and began to catch up with richer countries. Since the 2008 global financial crisis, however, the growth of trade has been sluggish and the expansion of GVCs has stalled. Meanwhile, serious threats have emerged to the model of trade-led growth. New technologies could draw production closer to the consumer and reduce the demand for labor. And trade conflicts among large countries could lead to a retrenchment or a segmentation of GVCs. World Development Report 2020: Trading for Development in the Age of Global Value Chains examines whether there is still a path to development through GVCs and trade. It concludes that technological change is, at this stage, more a boon than a curse. GVCs can continue to boost growth, create better jobs, and reduce poverty provided that developing countries implement deeper reforms to promote GVC participation; industrial countries pursue open, predictable policies; and all countries revive multilateral cooperation.
