La otra raza que habita el enorme planeta vive en una zona fértil del Desierto del Norte. Este planeta atrajo las dos mayores empresas aeroespaciales terrícolas, pues aventuraban los astrofísicos que desde el núcleo hacia afuera existía una alta proporción de oro, cada vez menor hasta llegar a la arenosa superficie del que llamaron Planeta de Oro y Aurraquis (au: oro; raquis: raíz). Esta vez la trama se extiende a toda la galaxia, pues intervienen seres mortales e inmortales que actúan a lo largo y ancho de la misma, también en el planeta Tierra. Terminada la historia, los apéndices y el epílogo, se proporciona un glosario de personajes y lugares relativos a toda la trilogía.
