Primer inventario de las comunidades vegetales del parque nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido. En ella se describen con detalle las 114 comunidades vegetales catalogadas en el Parque y zona periférica, con su ecología, composición florística, tablas de inventarios, distribución, espectros corológico y biológico, sintaxonomía, variabilidad y protección legal. La descripción de la vegetación se realiza mediante la fitosociología sigmatista de Braun-Blanquet. También tenemos un apartado dedicado a la descripción del paisaje vegetal por pisos de vegetación y de cada uno de los cuatro valles más la alta montaña del macizo de Monte Perdido. La vegetación del Parque consta de 114 comunidades vegetales repartidas en 74 asociaciones y 39 subasociaciones. Desde el punto de vista corológico, dominan las que presentan un mayor número de especies eurosiberianas (45%), seguidas de las alpinas (25%). En el transcurso de este estudio describimos 24 comunidades para la ciencia, repartidas en 4 asociaciones y 20 subasociaciones, a las que añadimos 5 variantes. Además, hemos cambiado el estatus de 5 sintánxones, recombinado otros 7 y renombrado una asociación. Los tipos de vegetación más diversificados son los pastos y prados con 34 comunidades (18 asociaciones más 16 subasociaciones), seguidos de los roquedos y las gleras con 33 (23+10) y de los bosques con 27 (16+11).

Se trata del primer inventario completo de la flora vascular del primer parque nacional del Pirineo y el segundo español, Ordesa y Monte Perdido. Catálogo exhaustivo de la flora vascular del Parque, que consta de 1400 especies para las que se indica sus localidades, ecología, distribución altitudinal, comunidades vegetales principales donde aparece, abundancia y citas bibliográficas. Presentamos una síntesis del reparto altitudinal de especies, espectros corológico y de formas biológicas, los endemismos, las especies mediterráneas y atlánticas, así como otros listados de especies con distintos límites de área presentes. Se dedican apartados especiales a la flora de los "tresmiles", a la de las majadas, a las localidades de flora abisales sometidas a inversión térmica, a las especies que alcanzan algún récord altitudinal en el PNOMP y el listado de especies incluidas en algún catálogo de flora amenazada. Finalizamos con el bloque de 615 mapas de distribución con cuadrícula UTM de 1x1 kilómetros y la bibliografía consultada.
