When you begin reading this book, you can't put it down. It is easy reading. There are two kinds of people in this world; those that are saved and those that are unsaved. The book will be support to the saved and "door opening" for the unsaved. Christ and football are the common denominators that tie it together. I knew Coach Glover when I played against one of his Etowah County football teams in 1948 while I attended Woodlawn High School. I think they beat us 2-0 in a driving rain. Reading about Jim and Jerry's experiences, with being saved, and having Jerry find out what "grace " is all about is the way it happened in my life. I joined the church and was baptized when I was eleven years old. I was 23 years old before I understood that I was saved by "grace" and not by my works. After reading this book, I'm fired up and ready to go again. Bobby Bowden Head Football Coach Florida State University

We've all been there: that make-it-or-break-it moment of our careers - on the brink of a deal, poised at the starting gate, under the spotlight waiting to speak or perform in front of our peers. At this point, where everything seems to be on the line, most of us experience one overriding reaction - fear - and this fear can have negative physical, mental and emotional consequences on how well we do our job. Don Greene, sports psychologist and stress coach to top executives and entertainers, has spent decades studying fear and its effect on performance. In this groundbreaking book, Dr Greene shares the proven techniques he has used with Olympic athletes, Grand Prix drivers, the New World Symphony and Merrill Lynch traders to help them perform their best under pressure. Fight Your Fear and Win begins with a self-assessment performance survey that will allow you to pinpoint your own reactions to stress: how you handle distractions, how you are affected by nervousness, your mental outlook, your response to fear and your ability to bounce back from failure.

Perform To Win written by Jonathan Gifford and has been published by Lid Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-02-26 with Creative ability in business categories.

This book explores and demonstrates the transformative learning experiences that organizations and their leaders can derive from the arts. It is through the arts that we have always explored our humanity: through dance and music; art and sculpture; theatre and poetry. The arts allow us to explore our own selves and our relationship to others and to the world around us. This central role of the arts is commonly accepted in everyday life, but the implications of this are not typically extended to the world of business. The authors argue strongly that, to the contrary, the methodologies and approaches that are fundamental to performing artists of all kinds can provide exactly the kind of inspirational, people-centered and performance-related techniques that are missing from much of the typically mechanistic, systems-based and process-driven training and development of managers and executives. Technical proficiency and expertise are not enough to deliver an award-winning result; what enables a truly outstanding performance is the elusive but entirely recognizable element of artistry--the spark that transforms a technically good performance into something extraordinary.
