An der Schwelle zum Erwachsenwerden steht die Entwicklung der eigenen Persönlichkeit im Mittelpunkt des Denkens von jungen Menschen. Aber weder die Jugendarbeit noch die Erwachsenenbildung sieht eine Aufgabe darin, junge Erwachsene in ihren religiösen Fragen und Veränderungen zu begleiten. Wissenschaftliche und gemeindepädagogische Literatur, speziell für die Altersgruppe der 18- bis 30-Jährigen, liegt kaum vor. Der Fokus dieser Arbeit ist auf die Evaluation eines Persönlichkeitstrainings gerichtet, das speziell für junge Erwachsene entwickelt wurde. Untersucht werden die Strukturen und die Inhalte des Programms, um konkrete Gestaltungshinweise für die Durchführung in einer örtlichen Kirchengemeinde zu gewinnen. Die empirischen Ergebnisse werden durch Beobachtungen aus verschiedenen Jugendstudien ergänzt. Dazu werden theologisch-anthropologische Gesichtspunkte zur Persönlichkeit und zum Person-Sein erörtert Das Persönlichkeitstraining18+ Atelier Leben wird seit 2004 unter dem Dach von CVJM und ejw (Evangelisches Jugendwerk) in Württemberg fast jährlich durchgeführt.

In dieser Arbeit werden durch die Auswertung narrativer Interviews mit Frauen alkoholabhängiger Partner nicht nur Risiko- und Schutzfaktoren aufgezeigt, sondern auch resilienzfördernde Impulse für Seelsorge und Beratung gegeben. Besondere Beachtung findet die Bedeutung des christlichen Glaubens als Resilienzfaktor. Die Erkenntnisse der Studie helfen, Probleme und Möglichkeiten co-abhängiger Frauen besser zu verstehen. Zugleich regen sie nicht nur christliche Gemeinden an, Menschen aus diesem Personenkreis stärker zu beachten und ihnen beizustehen.
