Pelbagai bentuk kajian masa lalu tentang ketokohan Tun Saban di Hulu Perak perlu diberikan penilaian semula berdasarkan sumber dan sudut pandangan yang baharu agar sentiasa segar dalam pengetahuan masyarakat masa kini. Bahagian B pula membincangkan aspek kelestarian warisan Tun Saban di Hulu Perak. Tun Saban dikesan banyak meninggalkan warisan yang ada kaitan dengan kewujudan tempat, keturunan, gelaran jawatan, legasi kepimpinan dan sebagainya. Penulisan buku ini merupakan suatu usaha untuk mengukuhkan kedudukan Tun Saban sebagai pengasas Hulu Perak dan sekali gus membuka ruang perbincangan tentang kelestarian warisan yang memberikan impak kemasyarakatan di negeri Perak Darul Ridzuan pada abad ke-21 ini.
