Globalisasi sebagai pendorong lahirnya sebuah revolusi teknologi informasi yang menyebabkan lahirnya banyak tindak kejahatan dan berbagai modus operandi dalam dunia cyber crime khususnya kejahatan hacking. Pengaturan pidana dan pertanggungjawaban terhadap kejahatan hacking dalam hukum positif di Indonesia sangat diperlukan. Kejahatan hacking atau meretas dapat pula dikategorikan suatu tindak pidana. Aturan larangan dan pidana yang dapat dikenakan terkait kejahatan hacking di Indonesia di antaranya yaitu Undang-Undang Nomor 19 Tahun 2016 tentang Perubahan atas Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik yaitu pada Pasal 30 sampai 37, Undang-Undang Nomor 27 Tahun 2022 tentang Pelindungan Data Pribadi pada Pasal 65 sampai 73, dan Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana Baru (KUHP Baru) dalam Pasal 334 sampai 337. Setiap subjek atau pelaku dapat dimintai bentuk pertanggungjawaban pidana sesuai dengan objek atau tindakan yang telah diperbuat menurut peraturan yang berlaku di Indonesia. Buku ini mendeskripsikan mengenai ketentuan pengaturan pidana terhadap kejahatan hacking dalam hukum positif di Indonesia, dan sistem pertanggungjawaban pidana terhadap kejahatan hacking berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 27 Tahun 2022 tentang Pelindungan Data Pribadi.

Hubungan diplomatik antarnegara merupakan salah satu pilar penting dalam menjaga perdamaian dan stabilitas dunia. Dalam menjalin hubungan diplomatik, negara-negara saling mengirim agen diplomatik untuk mewakili negaranya di negara lain. Agen diplomatik memiliki kekebalan dan keistimewaan tertentu yang diatur dalam Konvensi Wina 1961 tentang Hubungan Diplomatik. Namun, kekebalan dan keistimewaan tersebut tidak berarti bahwa agen diplomatik bebas dari tanggung jawab hukum. Jika agen diplomatik melakukan tindak pidana di negara penerima, maka muncul pertanyaan tentang bagaimana mekanisme pertanggungjawaban pidananya. Buku ini menjelaskan mekanisme pertanggungjawaban pidana pada agen diplomatik yang melakukan tindak pidana di negara penerima diatur dalam beberapa instrumen hukum internasional, seperti Konvensi Wina 1961 tentang Hubungan Diplomatik dan Konvensi Wina 1963 tentang Hubungan Konsuler. Selain itu, terdapat pula beberapa instrumen hukum nasional yang mengatur tentang pertanggungjawaban pidana agen diplomatik, seperti Undang-Undang Nomor 31 Tahun 1967 tentang Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Korupsi dan Undang-Undang Nomor 15 Tahun 2003 tentang Tindak Pidana Pencucian Uang.
