Der europäische Schienenpersonenfernverkehr befindet sich in einem tief greifenden Umbruch, der die Unternehmen auch in der betrieblichen Planung vor neue Herausforderungen stellt. Am Beispiel des Planungssystems der DB Fernverkehr AG verfolgt diese Arbeit einen umfassenden Erklärungs- und Strukturierungsbeitrag, um so ein Verständnis für die Rahmenbedingungen, die Einflussfaktoren sowie die Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten eines solchen Planungssystems zu schaffen und Möglichkeiten für eine Verbesserung der Unternehmensplanung von Schienenpersonenfernverkehrsunternehmen aufzuzeigen. Das Buch wendet sich an Praktiker im Bereich des Managements und der Planung von Schienenpersonenverkehrsuntennehmen ebenso wie an Dozenten und Studierende der Wirtschaftswissenschaften mit den Schwerpunkten Unternehmensplanung und Verkehrswissenschaften.

Many economic and social surveys are designed as panel studies, which provide important data for describing social changes and testing causal relations between social phenomena. It covers fixed and random effects models, models for change scores and event history models.
