A Happy Pocket Full of Money, first self-published in 2001, so impressed Rhonda Byrne, that she asked David Gikandi to become a consultant on The Secret. True wealth flows out of developing "wealth consciousness," that incorporates gratitude, a belief in abundance, and an ability to experience joy in life. He explores how recent discoveries in theoretical physics are relevant for the creation of personal wealth and shows readers how to create abundance by saving, giving, offering charity, and building happy relationships. A Happy Pocket Full of Money features: --How to use an internal mantra to build wealth consciousness. --How to be conscious and deliberate about your thoughts and intentions. --How to decide, define, and set goals you can believe in. --How to act on your beliefs and overcome challenges. --How to incorporate gratitude, giving, and faith to experience abundance and joy in life. This inspirational book will change how you view and create money, wealth, and happiness in your life.

It's Not Just About the Money True wealth is not about buckets of cash. True wealth is not about designer clothes. It is not about a new Mercedes. It is not about living in a palatial estate. True wealth, asserts David Gikandi, is about discovering value within yourself and value within other people. It is about a kind of conscious living that incorporates gratitude, a belief in abundance, and the experience of joy. Based on the recent discoveries of theoretical physics and a close reading of inspirational classics of the last century, Gikandi creates a new model for the creation of personal wealth; a new model that shows readers how to create abundance by saving, giving, offering charity, and building happy relationships. Learn to use an internal mantra to build wealth consciousness. Practice conscious and deliberate thoughts and intentions. Decide, define, and set goals you can believe in. Practice gratitude, giving, and faith, and experience abundance and joy in your life. Includes a 16-page study guide--for individuals and group use.

A Pocketful of Virtues, Book Two is an engaging and insightful rhyming book for children that introduces several impactful virtues and provides a foundation for conversations about what they mean in a child's everyday life. Book Two of the four book series introduces the following virtues: Courage, Respect, Fairness, and Honesty . Believing that virtues help to form a child's character, this book provides a way to introduce and talk about these characteristics through age appropriate examples and illustrations. Virtues are often learned through imitation and habit and unfortunately not every child has a positive family role model. Written by an admittedly fallible author, the content introduces virtues without judgment. It is the author's hope to expose more children to these virtues via other adults, educational institutions, community programs, and from their peers as well. The book does not have any religious references and is accessible and appropriate for groups of children from various cultures. A Pocketful of Virtues focuses on universal behaviors that children could aspire to that will have a positive impact on their lives and the lives of others. Recognizing that virtues can be interpreted and taught in various ways, the book is meant to provide a foundation for a thoughtful discussion with a trusted source so that the children can formulate their own ideals and behaviors. Thanks to several parents who contributed ideas, there are questions and activities at the end of the book to help explore the virtues with the child/children in a more personal way. The completed series will cover sixteen virtues; four in each book. Book One is complete and Book Two will publish in April 2021. Books three and four will publish in 2022. The following virtues will be introduced in Books Three and Four: Book Three- A Pocketful of... Responsibility * Compassion * Gratitude * Generosity Book Four- A Pocketful of... Forgiveness * Loyalty* Authenticity * Humility Recommended Reading Level Minimum Age: 5 Maximum Age: 10 Minimum Grade Level: P Maximum Grade Level: 3

When the clock struck midnight on January 1st, 2020 we had no idea the challenges that we were to face that year. News of a worldwide Pandemic and ordered shelter in place with only essential services operational spread like wildfire creating uncertainly and fear of the unknown. I am an empath, a seeker of positivity and each day those emotions depleted with every news report and indefinite isolation. I felt the need to hold myself accountable to hang onto that gratitude by sharing our personal journey on social media everyday, and everyday finding the gratitude within those challenges. As with all children, on March 17th, my Autistic son was sent home for remote learning. Their routines disrupted and desperately needed services came to a screeching halt. He requires 1:1 instruction and that became my priority. A few days later, all non essential businesses were closed, indefinitely. The self employed were left with no income until months later when unemployment was approved for us. I am self employed. My husbands office closed and he was working remotely, as were most people, for over a year. My sons Autism requires structure, routine and services to thrive. All of those necessities were gone leaving a confused, scared and anxious child resulting in uncontrollable behaviors that required love, patience and priority. He feared this virus taking me away from him. So much so that his worries effected his entire being. I am his person. I found myself as mom, wife, teacher, therapist, confidant and business owner while my 93 year old mom recuperated from a life threatening surgery in a nursing home. Nursing homes were being hit hard by this virus and taking many loved ones with it. The responsibilities and concerns became overwhelming. Each day I sought out something, anything, to be grateful for. With no where to go we spent a lot of our time outdoors after remote learning. We soaked up the sun, blue skies, hearing the birds chirping, looking for someone, anyone to be out walking, loving sidewalk chalk messages of hope, seeing hearts in window, smiling at fellow walkers while keeping our distance and looking for the helpers. Some days I had to dig deep, very deep, for gratefulness. It was in those moments, days, and months that we worked through the seemingly impossible and missed seeing our loved ones as we watched the world crumble to illness and countless deaths. As my prose merely began as a way to hold MYSELF accountable from falling through the cracks, I found that many not only began following my stories but looking forward to them. So much so that I was encouraged to put them into a book to help others see the positivity in the most challenging of times while navigating isolation and Autism. My goal is help bring the sun into your cloudiest of days through commonality, gratitude, positivity and mindfulness.
