Este trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar o projeto de Portifólio de Moda Digital, introduzido no oitavo semestre do curso de Design de Moda da Universidade Anhembi Morumbi, durante o segundo semestre do ano de 2003, pelo Prof. Msc. Marcos Mortensen Steagall. A proposta do estudo é compreender o Portifólio Digital como uma forma de comunicação de design de moda em meios digitais possibilitada pelos avanços da tecnologia. Pressupõe-se então que a moda possui estreitas relações com a globalização, e caminha lado a lado com os avanços da tecnologia, beneficiando-se do aumento no fluxo de informações. Após esclarecimentos sobre as diferentes definições usadas para o conceito portifólio de moda, foi realizado um levantamento histórico sobre a moda e a comunicação de moda a partir do século XX, para que fosse possível compreender em que contexto histórico surgiu este conceito. Procurou-se também compreender quando e como a moda aparece em meios digitais, quais as influências das novas tecnologias sobre a comunicação de moda, as vantagens e desvantagens de se representar a moda em meios digitais. Foi possível constatar que desde o início do século XX a moda passou por uma revolução, assim como a tecnologia. A comunicação de moda acompanhou a velocidade das mudanças nos meios de comunicação em geral, e o desenvolvimento do Portifólio Digital em CD-ROM coloca esta teoria na prática.
