Não há muito tempo, se alguém queria falar sobre posicionamento global, falava de imediato em GPS, atualmente, com vários sistemas de posicionamento global em órbita é mais usual falarmos de sistemas globais de navegação por satélite, GNSS (“Global Navigation Satellite Systems”), isto porque, coincidem neste momento em orbita três sistemas de posicionamento global distintos, o GPS (americano), o GLONASS (russo) e o ainda não totalmente operacional Galileo (europeu). A interoperabilidade entre os vários sistemas de navegação global é já hoje uma realidade. Já hoje existem recetores que leem simultaneamente os sistemas GPS e GLONASS e no futuro lerão também o sistema Galileo. Ter numa única antena recetora a possibilidade de ler em simultâneo os vários sistemas de navegação global existentes será uma realidade a muito curto prazo será. A vantagem dessa interoperabilidade será ao nível da precisão e da disponibilidade constante do sinal. A ESA em 1993 criou o programa EGNOS que estuda a interoperabilidade dos serviços oferecidos pelos sistemas GPS e GLONASS na Europa. Este programa trabalha atualmente para aumentar a precisão dos dados enviados pelos sistemas em operação (GPS e GLONASS), mas a área de abrangência do programa inclui apenas os estados europeus, podendo ser estendido a outras regiões no futuro. Nos USA existe um programa semelhante, que se chama WASS.

To be human is to experience fear, but what is it exactly that makes us fearful? Here is one geographer’s striking exploration of our landscapes of fear as they change throughout our lives and have changed throughout history. Yi-fu Tuan investigates landscapes of the natural environment which are threatening, and landscapes filled with the dark imageries of the mind; fears of drought, flood, famine, and disease, shared by all members of a community, and fears of the particular ghosts which haunt the individual imagination. In this lucidly-written, ground-breaking survey, Professor Tuan delves into many cultures and reaches back into our prehistory to discover what is universal and what is particular in our inheritance of fear. Starting with fear in animals, he raises and explores a variety of questions: What is specifically human about fear? Is there or has there ever been a “fearless” society? Professor Tuan examines the most specific forms fear takes in the mind of the child, among hunters and agriculturists, inside the walls of a medieval Chinese city, among Navaho Indians and American immigrants. He explores the ways in which authorities create landscapes of terror to instill fear in their own populations; and he probes that most basic of all contradictions between the need for human security and the fear of human nature. Professor Tuan particularly emphasizes how, in coping with fears of enemies, strangers, the insane, wolves, wind, witches, mountains, dragons, rain, or the terror that the universe itself might crumble, humans respond adventurously by creating “shelters,” ranging from fairy tales to cosmological myths. Construiu-se a análise de uma estrutura geodésica já implantada no Município de Jaboatão dos Guararapes/Pernambuco, com um arcabouço metodológico que pode nortear outros municípios que não possuem uma estrutura geodésica. Para a análise, usaram-se pontos de controles, mapa geoidal, rede de referência, modelos digitais de terreno e ortofotos. Objetivou-se verificar as acurácias com base na densificação de pontos aleatórios em qualquer parte do município, e usa a estrutura em rede existente, com a pré-análise por métodos clássicos de triangulateração, e com ajuste de rede GNSS, contando com o mínimo necessário de ocupação, visando termos econômicos dentro das premissas das normas da ABNT, NBR 13133/21, NBR 14166/22 e NBR 17047/22. Analisado os dados de altimetria, foi proposto um modelo quase geoidal local, baseado na altitude normal recentemente adotada como altitude do Sistema Geodésico Brasileiro. As ortofotos puderam ser verificadas quanto ao padrão de exatidão cartográfica de produtos cartográficos digitais. A integração com o cadastro foi primordial, pois do cadastro tem-se melhor detalhamento do território, onde se apresentam soluções mobile a partir de softwares livres que permitiram a construção de um boletim digital para coleta de informações sociais, cartográficas com preceitos de qualidade conforme o Decreto no 89.817/84 e acurácia posicional urbana de acordo com a Lei no 13.465/17 e Decreto no 9.310/18.
