This selection of short hypnotherapy sessions is designed to give you a taster of the many benefits hypnotherapy can offer. It provides a convenient, self-directed opportunity to experience how hypnosis can help with deep relaxation; stress and anxiety reduction; and confidence building. The sessions have been developed specifically for home use. The trance-states employed are light and the suggestions given are general but effective. If you are using the kindle or print version you will need to record the sessions so that you can play them while sitting or lying down comfortably with your eyes closed. If you have purchased the audio version (due July 2017), all the hard work is already done for you, and all you need to do is sit or lie back, listen, and relax.Suggestions are given at the beginning of each session to ensure that you will alert completely from trance if anything arises that requires your urgent attention while you are listening. You will also be gently talked out of hypnosis at the end of each session. If you are very tired and feel that you may fall asleep while listening, you may also wish to set a twenty minute alarm to alert you shortly after the end of each session.We recommend that where possible, you return quite gently to activity after the session has ended. As you become accustomed to using home hypnosis you will find what works best for you in this regard. The sessions are designed to be listened to as many times as you require and their effectiveness will increase with repeated listening.
