Der Autor sagt es zwar nicht direkt so, aber man kann insgesamt das Fazit ziehen: Die Demokratien in den derzeit fortgeschrittensten = westlichen Industriegesellschaften sind nicht nur nicht in der Lage, den globalen ökologischen Herausforderungen gerecht zu werden, sondern versagen weithin auch da, wo elementare ökonomische und soziale Interessen anstehen: Millionen und aber Millionen kreiden derzeit der Regierung der BRD an, was nur ein schwacher Abglanz dessen ist, was die Oppositions-parteien tun würden. Was aber Natur und Umwelt und die von ihr global nicht trennbaren elementaren sozialen Verhält-nisse anbelangt, so könnte es sein, daß die ultima ratio eines Tages nicht mehr bloß Theorie wäre: die globale Machtergreifung der sozialökologischen Vernunft. Die aber kann allein Sache der Philosophen im Sinne Platons sein. Diese sind jedoch weder notwendig Philosophieprofessoren noch auch nur pro-fessionelle Philosophen, sondern diejenigen, die in praktischer Absicht, mit Kant: nicht gemäß dem "Schul-", sondern gemäß dem "Weltbegriffs der Philosophie" wahrhaft und gründlich philosophieren und dieses kompetenzgemäß umzusetzen hätten. Doch auch die so durch eine globale "Philosophive als vierte Gewalt" gesetzten Rahmenbedingun-gen können nur aufgefüllt und verwirklicht werden, wenn die Betroffenen namentlich in der Dritten Welt sich als gemeinschaftsbezogene Lebewesen (Aristoteles) politisch organisieren, wozu sie der für sie verständlichen wie sie mobilisierenden Leitlinien bedürfen, so nach Art der lateinamerikanischen Befreiungstheologie, denn in der Religion wird - wie immer mythologisch eingekleidet - auf eine für alle verständliche Weise nur vorgestellt, was in der Philosophie denkend auf den Begriff gebracht wird (Hegel).
