Questo secondo volume si rivolge agli studenti universitari che seguono insegnamenti di Elettrotecnica che comprendono anche argomenti applicativi. Esso è dedicato alle più rilevanti applicazioni dei principi dell’Elettrotecnica generale, esposti nel primo volume di questa raccolta, a cui si rimanda lo studente. Questo volume si rivolge agli studenti universitari della Scuola di Ingegneria ed è specificamente orientato agli allievi dei corsi di Laurea Triennale che comprendono un insegnamento di Elettrotecnica o di Teoria dei Circuiti. Il testo, nato dall’esperienza accumulata dagli autori in molti anni di insegnamento accademico, affronta la parte più generale e metodologica dell’Ingegneria Elettrica, trattando in modo integrato i fenomeni elettrici e magnetici e le reti elettriche. In particolare vengono trattati i fenomeni di conduzione, i campi dielettrici e i campi magnetici, partendo da rapidi richiami delle leggi fisiche fondamentali, secondo l’approccio deduttivo che, dalle proprietà sperimentali, perviene ai fondamenti della sintesi maxwelliana; nello stesso spirito, i bipoli e i doppi bipoli sono dedotti come modelli di dispositivi fisici, secondo l’approccio “dai campi ai circuiti”, evidenziando le caratteristiche e i limiti di applicabilità del “modello reti elettriche”. I circuiti vengono trattati con maggior dettaglio nei regimi stazionario e sinusoidale e, assai più sinteticamente, nel regime variabile qualunque.
