Cyclostationary Processes And Time Series written by Antonio Napolitano and has been published by Academic Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-10-24 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Many processes in nature arise from the interaction of periodic phenomena with random phenomena. The results are processes that are not periodic, but whose statistical functions are periodic functions of time. These processes are called cyclostationary and are an appropriate mathematical model for signals encountered in many fields including communications, radar, sonar, telemetry, acoustics, mechanics, econometrics, astronomy, and biology. Cyclostationary Processes and Time Series: Theory, Applications, and Generalizations addresses these issues and includes the following key features. Presents the foundations and developments of the second- and higher-order theory of cyclostationary signals Performs signal analysis using both the classical stochastic process approach and the functional approach for time series Provides applications in signal detection and estimation, filtering, parameter estimation, source location, modulation format classification, and biological signal characterization Includes algorithms for cyclic spectral analysis along with Matlab/Octave code Provides generalizations of the classical cyclostationary model in order to account for relative motion between transmitter and receiver and describe irregular statistical cyclicity in the data

The principles of signal processing are using widely in telecommunications, control systems, sensors, smartphones, tablets, TV, video- and photo-cameras, computers, audio systems, etc. Written by 43 experienced and well-respected experts from universities, research centres and industry from 14 countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Ecuador, France, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine and USA the 'Advances is Signal Processing: Reviews', Vol. 1, Book Series, contains 13 chapters from the signals and systems theory to real-world applications. The authors discuss existing issues and ways to overcome these problems as well as the new challenges arising in the field. The book concludes with methods for the efficient implementation of algorithms in hardware and software. The advantages and disadvantages of different approaches are presented in the context of practical examples.

The Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing (PSB 2004) is an international, multidisciplinary conference for the presentation and discussion of current research on the theory and application of computational methods in problems of biological significance. The rigorously peer-reviewed papers and presentations are collected in this archival proceedings volume. PSB is a forum for the presentation of work on databases, algorithms, interfaces, visualization, modeling and other computational methods, as applied to biological problems, with emphasis on applications in data-rich areas of molecular biology. PSB 2004 brings together top researchers from the US, the Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the world to exchange research findings and address open issues in all aspects of computational biology. The proceedings have been selected for coverage in: . OCo Biochemistry & Biophysics Citation IndexOao. OCo Index to Scientific & Technical Proceedings- (ISTP- / ISI Proceedings). Image Super Resolution And Applications written by Fathi E. Abd El-Samie and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-15 with Computers categories.

This book is devoted to the issue of image super-resolution—obtaining high-resolution images from single or multiple low-resolution images. Although there are numerous algorithms available for image interpolation and super-resolution, there’s been a need for a book that establishes a common thread between the two processes. Filling this need, Image Super-Resolution and Applications presents image interpolation as a building block in the super-resolution reconstruction process. Instead of approaching image interpolation as either a polynomial-based problem or an inverse problem, this book breaks the mold and compares and contrasts the two approaches. It presents two directions for image super-resolution: super-resolution with a priori information and blind super-resolution reconstruction of images. It also devotes chapters to the two complementary steps used to obtain high-resolution images: image registration and image fusion. Details techniques for color image interpolation and interpolation for pattern recognition Analyzes image interpolation as an inverse problem Presents image registration methodologies Considers image fusion and its application in image super resolution Includes simulation experiments along with the required MATLAB® code Supplying complete coverage of image-super resolution and its applications, the book illustrates applications for image interpolation and super-resolution in medical and satellite image processing. It uses MATLAB® programs to present various techniques, including polynomial image interpolation and adaptive polynomial image interpolation. MATLAB codes for most of the simulation experiments supplied in the book are included in the appendix.

Bispectral Methods Of Signal Processing written by Alexander V. Totsky and has been published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-12-11 with Technology & Engineering categories.

By studying applications in radar, telecommunications and digital image restoration, this monograph discusses signal processing techniques based on bispectral methods. Improved robustness against different forms of noise as well as preservation of phase information render this method a valuable alternative to common power-spectrum analysis used in radar object recognition, digital wireless communications, and jitter removal in images.
