His methods are varied. Michael unhesitatingly employs techniques from a variety of healing modalities. By combining hypnosis, the principles of gradual desensitization, archetypes and myth, with more traditional motivational tools, Dr. McGee's approach moves beyond both hypnosis and "talk therapies". His methods work in synergy; training both the conscious and subconscious mind of the sufferer concurrently. Applying his more diversified and integrative approach has greatly benefited my clients. Trance and Trauma has proven to be an effective and highly detailed guide for me; allowing me to work with clients suffering with issues of depression and substance abuse, as well as, childhood and military trauma. No one is immune to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which is the modern-day term for what has, at various times, been called 'shell shock', 'war neurosis' and 'combat fatigue' in wartime situations, and 'operational stress injury' in civilian terms. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is a serious, potentially debilitating condition that can occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a natural disaster; serious incident or accident; a sudden death; personal violence or another life-threatening situation. Military personnel and first responders are known to be particularly at risk from PTSD. Everybody has their breaking point, however strong they may have forced or trained themselves to be - physically or mentally. Ironically, it is often the people who have faced other distressing situations in their life, who are most at risk for developing PTSD. However there is a fast and effective way to get to the bottom of the causes of PTSD, with or without a diagnosis, and relieve or even eliminate the most troublesome symptoms, and that is clinical hypnotherapy. This 'alternative' therapy is the only clinically proven therapeutic tool endorsed by the American Medical Association, the American Psychological Association, and the British Medical Council. Clinical hypnotherapy allows a person to delve into the recesses of their own subconscious mind to seek the root source of any issue, and allow the mind to confront symptoms and causes at a pace the subconscious can allow. Hypnosis is so effective as a therapy for PTSD, that it was being used extensively by psychiatrists and psychologists in the Great Wars, to treat the most chronic cases of war neuroses. They called it 'the original brief therapy' because in a relatively small number of sessions of hypnotherapy, the PTSD sufferer and his or her clinical hypnotherapist were able to identify the stressors, past and present, causing the debilitating emotional and/or physical symptoms, and stop them in their tracks, without the need for strong drugs or months and months of talk therapy. Ten percent of all American troops who deployed to Europe returned as 'psychiatric casualties'.That figure mirrors the Canadian statistic of how many of its troops were severely affected by their service in Afghanistan. Canada is now facing a PTSD epidemic. Montreal-based clinical hypnotherapist Pierre Benoit, RCCH, is a renowned international expert in the application of clinical hypnotherapy techniques to reduce or even eliminate PTSD symptoms. His groundbreaking 'PTSD protocol' has helped hundreds of people reclaim their lives from the scourges of PTSD. In this book he explains the techniques he uses to help PTSD sufferers and why clinical hypnotherapy is so effective as a solution to PTSD.

We also delve into specialized units, examining how agents dealing with human trafficking and cybercrime navigate the unique challenges of their roles. But this book goes further. It introduces a novel approach to PTSD treatment, one that has gained increasing recognition in recent years: hypnotherapy. Within these pages, you will find a thorough examination of the role of hypnotherapy in the treatment of PTSD and its potential as a complementary therapy. We discuss techniques, safety considerations, and clinical guidelines for its application in this context. Throughout this exploration, we underscore the importance of a trauma-informed approach, emphasizing the need for leadership buy-in, cultural sensitivity, and a supportive workplace culture that acknowledges and addresses the emotional toll of the job. As we journey through the narratives of INTERPOL agents who have faced and conquered their demons, we bear witness to the resilience of the human spirit and the potential for post-traumatic growth. Their stories serve as beacons of hope for those who tread a similar path. This book is a testament to the dedication and sacrifice of those who work tirelessly to maintain the safety and security of our world. Hypnosis has not been fully appreciated in the treatment of trauma, largely due to it being implicated in the creation of false memories, which have previously led to false allegations of child abuse. This has led to a lot of misunderstandings about hypnosis. There is now a strong argument that the educated and professional use of hypnosis may be beneficial to the field of trauma, particularly in facilitating the resolution of trauma and processing of traumatic memories. This book re-introduces the importance of hypnosis in the field of trauma, with particular reference to survivors of child abuse. It covers theories of traumatic stress, theories of hypnosis and theories related to the long term effects of child abuse. As well as providing recent research in these areas, it offers practical therapy guidelines and case illustrations to assist qualified practitioners in treating their clients. The treatment described is predominately cognitive-behavioural, and uses hypnosis as an effective and powerful adjunct to this approach.

While in a deep state of hypnosis, for instance, the hypnotherapist may walk the subject through guided imagery in which he or she encounters positive, uplifting scenarios of beauty, peace, belonging, and so on. When coupled with intention-the deep desire to experience a different future than the one to which we have become habituated-one can literally make a prediction of a desired future outcome. - The Importance of QMHThe case studies in this book demonstrates not only that there exists an elegant solution to PTSD, but that Quantum Medical Hypnosis represents an evolution in understanding mental health and a breakthrough in medicine. - This book is also available in audio formate on the major online audiobook stores. Healing with Hypnotherapy, is a culmination of 35-years of teaching hypnotism workshops and a career as a hypnotherapist. In putting this training guide together, I felt it imperative that the prospective student understand what hypnosis is, how it is used in a therapeutic setting, and why anyone would consider hypnotherapy as a career. Three questions--what, how and why--are answered in considerable detail throughout the text. In addition, the reader/student will learn where and when hypnosis is best used. In answer to the question, "Do I need a college degree or advanced certification to become a professional hypnotherapist?" The answer is, "No!" However, you must have a burning desire to help those who want to be helped. Lacking quality life experiences is a huge deficit in the field of hypnotherapy. Those who practice hypnotherapy daily, find it to be the most satisfying and motivating factor in their life. Rarely will a well-trained hypnotist be unhappy doing this work! Based upon his long history of doing therapy sessions and conducting training workshops, Casino Danova has put his hard-won experiences in this study guide. Millions of depressing and unhappy clients will need well-trained hypnotherapists who can eradicate their suffering. Of all the people you know, who live in all those houses you pass each day, do you know of one person who doesn't want to sleep better, eat right, stop smoking, or alleviate his or her stress level--including PTSD. The world is suffocating under a black fog of pain. Your skills may be all a client needs to return to a content, useful life. The last thing a client wants is for a therapist to pamper them like babies. The author has dedicated his life to healing emotional pain, not change diapers. And, his success rate has been phenomenal. It's all there on the Testimonials page. Be prepared to dig into the best training you've ever been privileged to obtain. Each concept uses personal examples, as well as anecdotes from his MFT and LCSW students. The text is loaded with induction techniques, case histories, and a matrix of scripted suggestions, providing you with superb training. There are many clever tips, based upon Danova's years of failures and successes. The first tip is to listen! When others are talking, don't be thinking about a past event in your life that may one-up their story. Your client expects you to listen to his problem. He doesn't care about yours. Start reading! Start practicing! A financially-rewarding future is in your hands!

First published in 1986. Scientific hypnosis has made great advances particularly since World War II, both as part of basic psychological science concerned with the understanding of brain, mind, and personality and as a professional skill in which knowledge of hypnosis is used to serve human welfare by enhancing the quality of life for those who have the good fortune to benefit from hypnotherapy and the related practice of hypnoanalysis. The reader is brought abreast of these developments through the arrangement of the chapters into two sections of the book, with the first four chapters explaining the basics of hypnosis as an altered state of consciousness interpreted theoretically from several points of view.
