This central text of Jewish mysticism was written in thirtenth-century Spain, where Kabbalah flourished. Considered to be the most articulate work on the mystical Kabbalah, Gates of Light provides a systematic and comprehensive explanation of the Names of God and their mystical applications. The Kabbalah presents a unique strategy for intimacy with the Creator and new insights into the Hebrew Scriptures. In the Kabbalah, aspects of God emanate from a hierarchy of Ten Spheres interconnected by channels that may be disrupted or repaired through human activity.

The Qabalah Gates of Light: The Occult Qabalah Reconstructed. This is the story of how and why, the Masters of the Occult misunderstood the Jewish Kabbalah. The book serves many purposes. First off, it is an introduction to the Jewish Kabbalah. Next, it is an introduction to the history of how the Occult Qabalah came to be created out of the Christian Cabalah material. It is also a critique and challenge to the Occult Qabalah's claim to be revealing the meaning of the Jewish Kabbalah and its symbol system of the Sefiroth. Lastly, it is a start to reconstruct the Occult Qabalah material by returning to the Jewish roots of the Kabbalah. Thus bypassing the Christian fabrications and falsehoods that have crept into the existing Occult understanding and exploration of the Sefiroth.

The Qabalah Paths of Light: The Occult Qabalah Reclaimed. Building upon the logic of my first book, The Qabalah Gates of Light, I continue to rework the Qabalah based in a foundation of the Rabbinic Jewish Kabbalah's symbols and metaphors. This book explores the paths of the Sefiroth and the question of assigning the Hebrew letters to the paths. Ultimately I choose to use the system published in the 1884 edition of the Sefer Yetzirah devised by Elijah ben Solomon Zalmon (1720 - 1790) of the city of Vilna Lithuania, known as the Vilna Gaon (Hebrew word for Genius). He was known by the Hebrew acronym 'the GRA'. Having done that I follow through with associating the Tarot's Major Arcana to this new configuration on the Tree's paths. I also provide insights into the creation of the Tree, its name (the Tree of Life) and its significance by rooting the Tree in a variation of the ARI mythic tale of creation and a retelling of the Gan Eden myth. I finally provide guidance and a suggestion of how to work with the Tree in a magick ritual setting. With this book I have reclaimed the Qabalah's use of the Sefiroth from its prior Christian disordered roots that were the origins of the original Occult Qabalah.

"Until now, few primary texts on the Kabbalah have been available in English. Under the auspices of the Bronfman Library of Jewish classics, this historic publication of Gates of Light allows readers to enter the hidden world of the Kabbalah and its profound and beautiful Biblical interpretation." Deftly illuminated by Gikatilla and grounded in historical perspective with introductory essays by Avi Weinstein, Moshe Ideal, and Arthur Hertzberg, this significant contribution to Jewish scholarship is rounded out with an index of scriptural verses."--BOOK JACKET.Title Summary field provided by Blackwell North America, Inc. An innovative, spiritual workbook that integrates the Tarot and the Kabbalistic tradition of Counting the Omer • Explores the origins and meaning of the 49-day Kabbalistic meditative practice of Counting the Omer and how it can lead to spiritual revelation, personal insight, and connection with the Divine • Reveals the correspondence of the Tarot’s minor arcana with the Sephirot of the Tree of Life and explains how both relate to the Omer meditation • Provides a daily practice workbook that explores the related Sephirot and Tarot cards for each day, examines their Kabbalistic and spiritual meanings, and provides questions for daily reflection and meditation guidance The 49-day mystical practice known as Counting the Omer is an ancient Jewish ritual observed between the holidays of Passover and Shavuot (also known as Pentecost). As practiced by Kabbalists, it is designed to cleanse and purify the soul in preparation for spiritual revelation and a personal connection with God. The ritual creates a spiritual inner journey that follows the path of the ancient Israelites from the moment of their physical freedom from slavery in Egypt to the establishment of their spiritual freedom forty-nine days later when they arrived at Mt. Sinai. Adeptly integrating this mystical practice with the transformative symbolism of the Tarot, Mark Horn uses the ritual of Counting the Omer as a template for a guided meditative practice that gives readers insight into their personal life journey and help in overcoming the issues that hinder their growth and spiritual awakening. Examining the correspondence of the Tarot’s minor arcana with the Sephirot of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, he shows how using the cards in connection with Counting the Omer can unlock the gates to a deep experience of the sacred. In the detailed daily practice workbook section, Horn provides day-by-day descriptions of the 49-day meditative practice of Counting the Omer. He divides the journey into seven week-long segments, which in turn are broken down into seven daily practices. For each day, he explains the related Sephirot and Tarot cards and their Kabbalistic and spiritual meanings, providing the reader with questions for daily reflection, guidance for meditation, and insight from traditional Jewish texts as well as teachings from Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, and Muslim traditions. Unveiling the relationship between Tarot and the Kabbalah, Horn shows readers how uniting these two practices can open them to a deeper experience of the Divine.

The Kabbalah is Judaism's intriguing mystical tradition, thousands of years old. In recent years, a growing number of people—both Jews and non-Jews—are finding the Kabbalah to be a fascinating treasure house of wisdom about the human mind. Men and women are discovering and applying Jewish mystical insights in daily life, and professionals in such fields as psychology, psychotherapy, and medicine are actively using Kabbalah in their work. Opening the Inner Gates is an anthology concerning these new explorations. In sixteen chapters, thirteen contributors present both theoretical considerations and applied methods of Kabbalah in such areas as healing, the mind-body relationship, dreamwork, intuition and creativity, storytelling, women's spirituality, parenting, working with the elderly, and "repairing the world" (tikkun olam). Contributors: LaVera Draisin, MD • Gerald Epstein, MD • Sheldon Kramer, PhD • Rabbi Steven Rosman, PhD • Edward Hoffman, PhD • Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi • Steven Joseph, MD • Howard Schwartz • Rabbi Chaim Richter • Alyce R. Tresenfeld • Mark Malachi • Rabbi Rami Shapiro • Laya Firestone Seghi

Deluxe 1st Hardback Edition with an introduction by Steven Ashe, author of Qabalah of 50 Gates. The Book of Enoch describes the fall of the Watchers who fathered the Nephilim. The fallen angels then went to Enoch to intercede on their behalf with God. The remainder of the book describes Enoch's visit to Heaven in the form of a vision, and his revelations. The Book of Enoch, written during the second century B.C.E., is one of the most important non-canonical apocryphal works, and probably had a huge influence on early Christian, particularly Gnostic, beliefs. Filled with hallucinatory visions of heaven and hell, angels and devils, Enoch introduced concepts such as fallen angels, the appearance of a Messiah, Resurrection, a Final Judgement, and a Heavenly Kingdom on Earth. Interspersed with this material are quasi-scientific digressions on calendrical systems, geography, cosmology, astronomy, and meteorology.
