L’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari ha una sua storia fatta di docenti, artisti, studenti a loro volta diventati artisti e docenti. I nomi degli artisti selezionati per questo primo volume sono quelli di chi l’Accademia l’ha fondata – come Raffaele Spizzico, Roberto De Robertis, Michele Depalma – di chi l’ha promossa nei più importanti circuiti dell’arte contemporanea, come Mimmo Conenna, di chi ha portato avanti il senso più profondo di un’arte intesa anche come mestiere, come Mario Colonna, per arrivare ai contemporanei, Beppe Sylos Labini, Paolo Lunanova e Pippo Patruno. Cristiano De Gaetano, già studente dell’Accademia in tempi recenti, purtroppo morto prematuramente, è testimonianza, bandiera quasi, di una qualità espressa dall’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari negli anni più recenti. Si è scelto il nome BARCA – Belle Arti Contemporary Art – per il futuro museo dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari che ha già una sua sede: il piano terra e il chiostro del bellissimo e appena restaurato convento settecentesco di Mola di Bari, progettato dall’architetto Vincenzo Ruffo, già sede del corso di indirizzo di Pittura e dei corsi del biennio di specializzazione dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari. Per quel che riguarda i contributi teorici presentati in questo volume, è stato impostato un progetto che potesse contribuire a colmare quella che riteniamo una grossa lacuna: la possibilità di accedere a fonti che trattano aspetti della vita culturale di Bari e della provincia negli ultimi cinquant’anni. Pertanto sono stati approfonditi i seguenti temi: una ricostruzione dei primi quarant’anni dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari, dalla scuola di disegno (1870) all’accademia di belle Arti (1970), il dibattito intorno al tema della sede del Museo di Arte Contemporanea a Bari, le vicende dell’Arte Maggio, la storia del premio Pino Pascali e, in ultimo, un omaggio al critico e storico dell’arte Pietro Marino attraverso lo studio dei diecimila articoli da lui pubblicati sulle pagine della Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno in quasi sessant’anni di attività. Il progetto si completerà con la pubblicazione di ulteriori tre volumi, all’interno dei quali, in parallelo alle storie degli artisti che costituiranno la collezione del BARCA, storici dell’arte, teorici dell’Accademia e giovani ricercatori di cose d’arte potranno fornire il loro originale contributo scientifico per la ricostruzione storica della vita culturale barese dell’ultimo cinquantennio.

This book illustrates the diversity of hypogene speleogenetic processes and void-conduit patterns depending on variations of the geological environments by presenting regional and cave-specific case studies. The cases include both well-known and newly recognized hypogene karst regions and caves of the world. They all focus on geological, hydrogeological, geodynamical and evolutionary contexts of hypogene speleogenesis. The last decade has witnessed the boost in recognition of the possibility, global occurrence, and practical importance of hypogene karstification (speleogenesis), i.e. the development of solutional porosity and permeability by upwelling flow, independent of recharge from the overlying or immediately adjacent surface. Hypogene karst has been identified and documented in many regions where it was previously overlooked or misinterpreted.
