Ramadan is not an ordinary month in Islam. It is the master of all months relating to time and space till the Hour of Judgment. It has been highly acclaimed for all time and widely celebrated everywhere. Why not! It is the month of the Holy Quran. Allah the Almighty chose and opted it for other months for guiding mankind. The most exalted book; which is the Holy Quran was revealed to the greatest prophet; Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him) in the month of Ramadan. It was sent down on the greatest month of all the year. It was a blessed night that equals a thousand months. It was revealed at the Cave of Hira in Makkah near the Sacred House and the Holy Kaaba. Ramadan has been a material embodiment of both the moral meaning of faith in the hearts and material science in the minds. We have understood, realized, and learned material science through the Holy Quran. Because of that, Allah the Almighty praised the fasting month out of other months and honored it by choosing it to send down the Glorious Quran. Ramadan was prescribed to purify the materialism of man from evils and sins. It also elevates the man's materialism to the level of the good and pious deeds through enlightenment. Thus, man would submit to the will of Allah and refrain from what has been forbidden. The Holy Quran was inscribed in the Preserved Tablet in the seventh heaven. The whole Quran was sent down to the scared house in the lowest heaven. Then it was revealed in portions according to the situations and incidents that the Prophet (PBUH) faced during his mission. It was an instruction and guide for him to solve all the problems that the Prophet, his companions, and the Muslims would face at all times.

Ramadan is the month-long Islamic festival of fasting and prayer. It is observed by Muslims all over the world, during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, known as the month of Ramadan. The observance of Ramadan began in the year 610 CE, when the Prophet Muhammad received the first revelations of the Quran. It is mandatory for all healthy adult Muslims who are not travelling or menstruating to fast during this period, from sunrise to sunset. Fasting means abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs during the fasting hours, which typically lasts for around 14 hours a day. The goal of fasting during Ramadan is not just to abstain from food and drink but also to promote self-discipline, restraint, and devotion to Allah. The month of Ramadan is a time for strengthening one's faith in Allah, performing acts of charity, and seeking forgiveness for wrongdoings. Muslims engage in additional prayers during Ramadan, particularly the nightly prayer known as Taraweeh, which is recited after the Isha prayer. The month of Ramadan ends with the Eid-ul-Fitr festival, which is a celebration of the end of fasting, marked by prayers and feasting with family and friends. Ramadan is a significant event for the Islamic community and a time for spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and giving to others.
