Este manual presenta de manera práctica, sencilla y rigurosa el desarrollo de todo un proyecto de instalación de redes de abastecimiento y distribución de agua y saneamiento. A lo largo de la obra los autores van desgranando las claves precisas para tratar todos y cada uno de los aspectos necesarios para lograr el éxito del proyecto. Estructurado en 4 bloques de contenido, se abordan de manera progresiva e integradora el funcionamiento de las redes de abastecimiento y distribución de agua, partiendo del ciclo integral del agua y hasta llegar a la normativa de aplicación. A continuación se trata el funcionamiento de las redes de saneamiento y, seguidamente, se pone el foco en la interpretación de proyectos de instalaciones de abastecimiento y distribución de agua y saneamiento, para finalmente dedicar un espacio al replanteo de la obra de una red de abastecimiento y distribución de agua y saneamiento. Fotos, diagramas, esquemas, fórmulas, planos y tablas aportan dinamismo y un enfoque dinámico y eminentemente práctico a la obra. Además, se sigue fielmente el contenido curricular previsto para la Unidad Formativa UF 0999, titulada Proyecto de instalación de redes de abastecimiento y distribución de agua y saneamiento, que forma parte del módulo formativo MF 0838_3 Redes e instalaciones de abastecimiento y distribución de agua y saneamiento, a su vez integrado en el certificado de profesionalidad ENAA0109 Organización y control del montaje y mantenimiento de redes e instalaciones de agua y saneamiento, regulado por RD 643/2011, de 9 de mayo.

Las actividades que se llevan a cabo en la programación y ejecución del montaje de redes de abastecimiento y de distribución de agua y saneamiento son complejas y dependen de varios agentes intervinientes en el proceso constructivo. A lo largo de este manual se analiza y estudia la organización general de este proceso y cómo optimizar los recursos en lo que respecta a seguridad, método y tiempo, estableciendo la secuencia general de la obra, realizando los cronogramas necesarios y definiendo las funciones de las diferentes personas que intervienen en el montaje de una determinada red de abastecimiento. Por otra parte, además de determinar las necesidades de aprovisionamiento de recursos a partir de la correcta interpretación de los proyectos de obras, se analizará la gestión y tramitación administrativa, que requiere de ciertos conocimientos y dedicación por parte de los implicados. La exposición de contenidos se hace de manera eminentemente didáctica, dejando ver que las soluciones propuestas nunca son únicas y que cualquier alternativa puede llegar a ser viable tras un análisis técnico y riguroso. Este manual responde fielmente al contenido curricular que el RD 643/2011, de 9 de mayo, determina para la UF1000 Recursos para la instalación de redes de abastecimiento y distribución de agua y saneamiento, incardinada en el MF 0838_3 Redes e instalaciones de abastecimiento y distribución de agua y saneamiento, que forma parte del certificado de profesionalidad Organización y control del montaje y mantenimiento de redes e instalaciones de agua y saneamiento, dentro de la familia de Energía y agua.
