La acción de los personajes se enmarca en la zona urbana, sus costumbres y el modo en que se desenvuelve en su vida social y económica, muy influida por el comercio, la cercanía al mar y a campos y montes cercanos de donde se obtenían bastimentos.***Stories From My Neighborhood is set in an urban environment of a past era of the capital of Panama; it is assumed to be the 40's of the twentieth century, when the first bridge that crossed the canal did not yet exist and the tramway was in operation. The stories evoke the early days of the republic; the wealthy classes still live within the walls and there is a lot of interaction between social levels. The action of the characters is framed in the urban area, its customs and the way it develops in its social and economic life, very influenced by trade, the proximity to the sea and nearby fields and mountains from where they obtained supplies.
