Die europäische Gesellschaft ist religiös plural, weshalb interreligiösem Lernen eine immer größere Bedeutung zukommt. Diese Lernvoraussetzung hat jedoch Auswirkungen auf das Lernen über- und voneinander, weshalb sie nicht ignoriert werden kann. In dieser Studie erforscht Agnes Gmoser daher, wie Schüler*innen über Angehörige anderer Religionen denken und ob gesellschaftlich verbreitete Vorbehalte bereits in jungen Jahren festzustellen sind. Davon ausgehend entwickelt sie Handlungsoptionen, wie in (inter-)religiösen Bildungsprozessen darauf eingegangen werden kann, um damit zu einem Abbau von Vorurteilen beitragen zu können.

The New Testament shows the early Church as having both stable institutions and dynamic growth in charismatic ministries. In the twenty-first century, although many historically-determined inessentials have changed, the Church’s structure remains fundamentally the same. This study looks at New Testament ministries (Eph 4:11-12), Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the history of the gift of tongues from the Acts of the Apostles through to the charismatics of our time, to see how these elements contribute to the fast-paced, global phenomenon we call the “pentecostalization” of modern Christianity. The mass expansion of higher education is one of the most important social transformations of the second half of the twentieth century. In this book, scholars from 15 countries, representing Western and Eastern Europe, East Asia, Israel, Australia, and the United States, assess the links between this expansion and inequality in the national context. Contrary to most expectations, the authors show that as access to higher education expands, all social classes benefit. Neither greater diversification nor privatization in higher education results in greater inequality. In some cases, especially where the most advantaged already have significant access to higher education, opportunities increase most for persons from disadvantaged origins. Also, during the late twentieth century, opportunities for women increased faster than those for men. Offering a new spin on conventional wisdom, this book shows how all social classes benefit from the expansion of higher education.
