Considering the great progress and evolution of human and social development today, which has contributed to the eradication of prejudice and discrimination that have affected humankind for centuries to a civilization that demands justice and that has established freedom, rights, and respect in equal proportions. That is why I consider it blasphemous to morality to see how this ancient evil continues to perpetuate itself, called the circle of honor and dignity, regarding sexual morality. In fact, it is a circle of humiliation and discrimination that women have traditionally accepted unconsciously and willingly. Because of this conformist attitude, which causes them to mistake submission with pride and when weighing harm and benefit, the balance continues to favor men and marginalize women from the same rights and consequences. Moved by the respect and love that every woman deserves, this is what has motivated me to write this book and, notwithstanding the negative reviews that it may generate, regardless of my being Liberal or Conservative, no one can deny the truth found in my writings, nor the need for moral balance in honoring and gratifying women. By researching the morality of the civilizations during different periods of life, it has served to show the noble intentions of my message, which carries in its imprint all the moral values, respect, and love that should symbolize women. What is written in this book is not meant to offend or hurt anyone, besides, what I have captured is not a fantasy, it is the reality that nourishes us, that which we see and hear even in the shadows. This book includes the Spanish version.

An exemplary team of professionals provides a comprehensive look at sex education, the heated debate over federal controls, current research and practice, programs, politics, legislation, and cultural and religious issues related to sex and sexuality education. In the groundbreaking Sexuality Education: Past, Present, and Future, the history, practices, and politics of sexuality education are explained. Respected educators, counselors, and therapists marshal both research and educated opinion to offer insights into exactly what is meant by "sex education," what the various approaches are, what "age appropriate" lessons are supported by most professionals, and the impact of government policies. Noting that the need for sexuality education has expanded to adults, from new parents to senior citizens, this unique work also takes readers into classrooms and makes them privy to conversations representing everyone from elementary school students to nursing home residents. These comments reveal the range of unanswered questions about sex—questions that are important for psychological, as well as physical health. In addition, the contributors explore ongoing issues in sexuality education, such as how to present "culturally competent" lessons that include consideration of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, and sexual orientation. The experts also examine sexuality education in other countries, the challenges those countries face, and their victories over unplanned pregnancy and STDs in the global effort to preserve sexual health.

Against the background of the law reform debates around sexuality in Britain and America, Bamforth examines what functions it is legitimate for the law to serve and how effective law can be in achieving social goals. This work sheds new light on the equal rights debate and raises issues of central importance to the role of law in society.

Adolescents live in a changing world. Those changes come in the readily recognisable form of pressing familial, educational, economic, informational, cultural and global challenges. We have yet to see how these transformations will impact adolescents' personal relationships and their place in society. We do know, however, that current approaches to the socialisation of adolescents raise important concerns as parents and social institutions respond to challenges. This book explores these changes and challenges by examining the extent to which we may foster adolescent development in ways that respect and foster adolescents' basic rights to relationships they deem appropriate, fulfilling, and worthy of protection. It also explores those changes and rights from a view that acknowledges the need to respect the rights of others, that recognises that adolescents' rights are not for them alone. Contents: Preface; The Legal Foundations of Adolescents' Education; The Place and Nature of Sexuality Education in Society; Revisiting the Traditional Rationale for Sexuality Education: Pregnancy, Developmental Timing, and its Legal Responses; Combating Relationship Violence: Expanding Adolescents'
